I hear you, I'm also searching for the best airfair price. I have traveled with contiki, I've done 6 trips with them. This will be my last. I'm also in my 30's.

I'm thinking of staying an extra day or two, what about you?

Oh wow! Cool. Glad to hear your in your 30s! I might add an extra day at the end for Istanbul. It looks like a fascinating country. I have to see how much vacation time I have left. I actually just got back from a week in Ireland and I'm headed to Peru with GAP Adventures in August. I've been lucky travel-wise this year!! So we shall see how it goes....I did the European Magic tour in '04. Which tours did you do?

Last year I did Egypt and the Nile and Uk & S. Ireland. Had a blast on both. Before that I did Russia and Scandi., Eastern Road, European Vista and Med. Highlights.

I'm looking into other tour companies after the Turkey tour. Any comments on them?

I actually requested a quote this weekend for the Turkey tour...found out I could pay for 1/2 of the airfare with miles. Waiting to hear back.

Well, I've used Intrepid Tours and traveled with them in SE Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand)...small group of about 16 people. They were excellent. More of a backpacker type tour, but the hotels and people were great. I'm using their "sister" company GAP Adventures for Peru in August - will keep you posted on them. I just did a Trafalgar Tour to Ireland with my mom a few weeks ago...I was the youngest (go figure) but it was my mom's first time overseas and she wanted first class. It was nice for a change. But, it was a bit "antiquey". Haha!

I'm in my early 30s and about 75% sure going on this Oct 10-18 tour. I've done a couple of Contiki tours, the last being this past January. I will be traveling solo from Los Angeles.

Im Jackie, i've also booked this tour and Jessica - i think we are on two tours together as i am also doing the spanish spree right before the Turkish Delight )

Im 24yrs old and from Sydney, this will be my 3rd Contiki tour as im doing 4 pretty much in a row!

Me and my friend Jen will be going in this trip. This is my second Contiki trip, I did Berlin to Budapest last fall and it was great. I am in my early 30's and can't wait for this trip!!

Yup, finally booked this tour. Yay! I'll be arriving on the 9th, and wondering if anyone else is planning to come a day/whenever earlier?

I've read up on some info where you can purchase the Turkey visa when you arrive in Istanbul, but...does anyone plan to purchase their visa beforehand?

Well, i just booked the trip for this dates. I will be arriving on the 10th. From what we heard is better to get the visa ahead of the trip.
