I am also doing this same tour too. My name is Gabby from Melb and I am travelling solo also.
After reading everyones comments, I have no idea what I should be doing. I was just gonna book all my extras once I got over there. But I am interested in doing Alcatraz, Grand Canyon, Movie stars home tours, sex and the city, The O.C plus nearly everything else that was mentioned. Lol. I´m making the "Best of USA" Tour, too. I´m so excited. My name is Adam from Germany and I´m travelling solo. Is there anybody else from Germany?

Hi Gabby & Adam! Just over 2 1/2 weeks to go now! Can't wait to meet everyone.

For the optionals, the only ones that I've booked in advance are Alcatraz & the Grand Canyon and I also got front of line tickets for Universal Studios. They recommend that you book the Alcatraz tour before you leave because it may be sold out if you try to buy tickets the same day. I've booked for the 17th July @ 9:00AM.

For all of the other optionals, I'm just going to book while on the tour. I'll probably do Disneyland, the Sex & the City tour & the TV & Movie tour in New York.. and possibly the sailing in San Francisco!

Only 5 more sleeps to go. Im so pumped and excited. I cant wait to meet everyone. Just a quick question, what is everyone doing for money sitauitons? Like are you guys just using your atm card? Has anyone done the option of a cash passport? Im trying to work out the cheapest option. What have you all done? Would be good to get some feedback. Thanks

I got a cash passport from the Commonwealth Bank as it is my bank good rate better then Travelex.
My mum is going to Europe in September she found a better one from the ANZ as well as the ATM you can EPOS with it very low rates found it after I got mine bugger.
