Im leaving from Adelaide on the 16th, want to get familiar with the place, last time i went to America i was 11 so im sure it has all changed since then, im gonna sound like such a geek but i am already checking out what tours i want to do, i definitely want to go to universal studios in LA but not too sure where else there is too much to choose from!!!

I've already got an idea on what i wanna do in all the places, i guess that's the easy part, it's the realizing that you don't have enough money part that's a pain, haha!

My friend hasnt been to England on Contiki before, New Zealand was her first contiki, i know what you mean about the money situation, im struggling as it is to pay for the holiday think i may have to take out a personal loan, im a huge shopper so i think im gonna buy up big, luckily my boyfriend wont take too much so i can fill his suitcase with my goodies.

Tiffany, is there a tour that actually goes on the alcatraz island, when i went to San Francisco we just went on a boat cruise around the island but if there is an actual tour that would be pretty good. I think ill keep looking on the internet on what tours the different cities offer, if i find anything interesting ill let you know.

I've been looking on the alcatraz cruises website, but didn't actually think that it would only be a cruise around the island, Jay mentioned that she wanted to go on the tour and i was like hmm everyone seems to talk about it, but i have no idea what it is lol then she told me briefly, and i went and had a look on the websites trying to find out history of the place etc .. I haven't come across anything saying it's jjust around the island or physically on the island itself.. ALTHOUGH all it said was it's $24.50 lol sorry =/

After i posted my message last night i went looking on some websites and found some tours that take you on the cruise around the harbour then you go on a walking audio tour of the jail i think that tour came to $70 usd but it also includes other sightseeing ill have a look on the website again and get the address for you, it had all sorts of tours for San Francisco. Another tour im thinking of going on is to Tijuana in Mexico but i may do that before the tour starts, im starting to wonder how im going to fit all the sightseeing in on the tour but its too early to worry about that sort of stuff.

I have been on the alcatraz cruises website i was alctually looking at the tour they had with audio, the second collumn, it looks really interesting, although i want to watch 'escape from alcatraz' this movie is about 3 guys who excaped from the prision and 2 are presumed drowned cause they were never found.. quite a story..

i'm so pumped for this trip, time is going really quickly i can't believe its feb already! eeep!

Hi Ryan, my boyfriend Andrew and i get to Anaheim on Thursday, we are booked into the hotel where we are staying at for the contiki tour, thought it would be easier and its pretty cheap too. We are leaving from Adelaide but are flying through Melbourne to get to LA.

Tiffany, I looked on the alcatrez cruises website, soooo much cheaper than the one i was looking on, im thinking if i go to alcatrez i might go on the early tour which starts at 9am that way ill have most of the day to tour the rest of San Francisco but i guess i should actually speak to my boyfriend to see what he wants to do, at the moment he doesnt really care so hopefully i get to do all the things i want to do.

Yeah thats the tour i was thinking of doing, however i have no idea what i want to do in San Fransisco haha .. I'll be standing in AWE in complete AMAZEMENT lol..

Universal Studios and Disneyland are a BIG MUST i have to go there lol!!!
