Explorer1123048, Try speaking to your travel agent or Contiki themselves about accommodation pre tour, they booked me a night in Anaheim LA before the tour starts and it was really reasonably priced.

Re Accomodation before tour - you can organise with Contiki (through your Travel agent) to get 1 night pre-tour accomodation at the Best Westin in LA (anaheim). This will be the same room you stay in for the tour (ie you won't have to change rooms or hotels). Note you can only organise 1 night pre and post tour any other nights you organise through the hotel themselves.
We are alos staying 2 extra nights in LA and 1 extra night in NY!

are there usually a lot of people tevelling alone? i figure it'll be just as good anyway. Im from Perth, West Australia and cant wait to travel in a few months!!
