We're from the Central Coast up past Sydney.

Oi any of you guys have to pay a bit more for your flights??

Just today Harvey World Travel told us we gotta pay an extra 300 bucks on flights, and its coming from contiki that we have too??

What the **** is that!?

Real confusing.. If we pay by tomorrow (friday 11th) then we don't pay extra...

Did that happen to you guys as well!?

Hey, I don't think we had that extra to pay. I wonder why that is? I know that our flights are about 2800 but we got a land credit for some of the tours we had booked. But our flights need to be paid by tomorrow (12th) and we need to pay deposits on the contiki tour and other accommodation we have booked. You should ask them why you have to pay the extra 300 thats a bit wierd.

im flying qantas from adelaide and mine were 3201.36 that includes 521.36 of taxes...the only thing that went up for me was taxes by about $20

i had to pay my flights in full pretty much straight up, soemthing to do with the olympics being on at the same time and the airlines gettin all crazy.

My flight leaves exactly 13 weeks from today!
Finally I am feeling it is not so far away now. Is everyone else organized and ready? I still need to work out what to do with my money - which credit/debit cards to use, whether to get travellers cheques or not. What is eveyone else doing?

Contiki do offer a Grand Canyon thing as an optional, but that takes you to the West Rim, which apparently is considered ‘not the real Grand Canyon’, the South Rim where we are going is the most famous part from the movies and photos and stuff and is apparently way better.

Im actually going on this tour im doing it alone and starting to freak out!! I am going 2 days before Contiki starts and staying in New York for 2 days after!!
Im 21 from Sydney and i really wanna meet ppl before i go so im not so scared!!

BTW this is the first time im travelling overseas aswell!! ARGH LOL

Hi Alicia, Don't freak out too much, I think you'll find there are plenty of us in the same boat. It's my first overseas trip and my first solo holiday aswell. A few of us are also arriving early and/or staying on afterwards aswell. Check out Laura's facebook page she created just for our trip, that might ease your mind a bit also!

I'll be heading over as well .. Doing a night in Hawaii (Stupid late flight bookings ha ha) Then another night in the Contiki hotel in LA .. then heading back to hawaii after the tour for 4 nights before heading home!!
