Hi JadeLouise, it's been a while since i have been on here!!!
Me and my friend Lauren have organsied a day trip down to san diego and tijuana before the tour starts we also have booked a few other little tours like universal studios and that before hand, we booked it a few weeks ago through our travel agent, we are going through europe first and get into the states on the 24th of August and are staying the the Great Western in Anaheim. We really want to do Alcatraz but haven't book it yet! |

That sounds good Renee. I wont b able to do anything before the tour coz I dont fly into LA from Hawaii till like, 3pm the day before the tour starts so I think I'll just use the free days during the tour to do the extra things that I wanna do. Me nd my bf who was coming with me have broken up now tho so I'm joining the solo travellers!

I wanted to go to Hawaii but it didn't quite fit into the budget... lol! Oh no thats not good, so is he not coming altogether now? I don't think i could do it solo! Have you got Facebook? |

Hey Renee,
How did u book Tijuana? was it expensive? i really wanted to get to go there but just like Jade Louise I arrive on the 28th around 3pm : ( Alcatraz can be booked online (chq on contiki website for link under optionals for best of usa) although max 3 months in advance. We will be able to book it probably round end of may. I was thinking of doing the day tour as it is the most comprehensive one. The morning one sounds bit short. which tour will everyone be booking for Alcatraz? The last thing i want is to end up alone on the later one lol. Oh and join the club girls! I'm single too so here's to fun girl nights out!!! he he  |

Hey Alexi,
We are only doing a day trip to Tijuana which is included in the San City Tour and it costs $240.00 for two people. We are doing a few extras before the contiki starts as we get in a week early and we leave the next day when our tour finishes! I'll have to have a loook at alcatraz, we should all do a booking together for all the solo travelers so they arn't by themselves lol! |

Yeah, he's not coming altogether. Admittedly, i'm a bit nervous about going on my own but i'm SO NOT going to cancel, i'm way too excited! LOL. But i'll b totally on my own in hawaii coz that's not part of the tour so i've bin trying to find someone who'll be there at the same time as me so we can meet up but the closest i've come is a guy from TAS who leaves on the 25th before i get there

Hi guys im probably just stressing here but does anyone know if our tour will be affected by this whole SWINE FLU outbreak???
i hope our tour won't be cancelled. Renee: you should reconsider travel to Tijuana as airports may quarantine people who have travelled to Mexico. You should chq with the CDC what the situation is and whether or not this will affect you. Hope all goes well. |

hey guys i'm gonna book my alcatraz tickets soon as we're in the booking window but does anyone know which tour we should be booking and what day? Also is everyone going to be doing the early morning tour or the day tour?
