HI I'm Jacinda. I'm travelling alone for the first time and wanting to see if there is anyone else out there who is doing the La Scene starting the 15th Feb 09?
I arrive in the early morning of the 14th. So after a few hours of getting settled and a sleep going to try and see some sights that night. When do you get in? So how old are you? Im 22.
I'm 21. I'm leaving Cairns on the 12th and fligh to Japan for the night then get to La on the 12th (due to the date change) so I'm in La for a few days before hand by myself. I've booked one trip already for the 14th. I'm doing the stars home and the walk with the stars on it (can't remember what its called!) Where abouts are you staying in LA when you get there on the 14th?
I have a stop over in Japan as well but different day obviously! Im staying in the meeting place hotel in Anaheim near Disneyland. How about you? I want to do that tour too, its an optional extra on our first day. Do you no ne one else doin it that day? Have you met many people that are doin the same contiki tours? Its my first trip solo so its good to know someone beforehand to make it a little easier.
I'm staying somewhere in LA. Millenium Biltmore Hotel can't remember why I choose this hotel, I think it was nice looking and right in the Heart of LA. I don't know anyone else going on Contiki thats why I thought i'd start a forum and see what happens. So far your the only one that has left a post. The Contiki website is saying this trip is full so I'd like to try and talk to the others going on this contiki also so I know people when I get over to LA.
Where does the Wild Western finish at? Are you planning to spend some more time in US after your Contiki trips?
Yeh I've met some people doin the wild western tour, one whos doin both the western and scene but thats all really. Im staying a few days after my tour which finishes on the 3rd of march i think, in LA, and i leave on the 6th. Not sure if ill stay in LA again on catch a bus elsewhere if theres enough time i guess. What about you when do you leave? Are you only doin the 2 tours?
Would love to stay longer and see other states but I'm already missing 2 weeks of uni haha and it would have cost too much. Im thinking of goin back though once i graduate uni and cover more states especially New York!! Alos will be doin a Europe one hopefully, again after uni, cant wait!!!
I'm leaving Las Vegas on the 28 Feb and fly home. I'm spending an extra 2 days in Las Vegas once the tour finishes. Yeh I'm only doing the 2 tours - money permits what I can do I've taken a month leave from work to do this. I was meant to go in October but it was too busy for me to leave. Are you spending the night in Japan when you fly over or just a couple of hours at the airport?
Yeh I no wish i had more moeny then id love to stay and do cancun and mexico would be awsum!! Im in Japan for around 6 hours or so. would be awsum to have a longer stay there but didnt want to do it on my own especially when its another language. Im checking in to those day rooms in the airport you can hire them for an hour or few so at least i can shower etc before my next long trip! Are you flying Qantas and Northwest airlines are you? Seems like we might have similiar flights. The main thing im worried about is the airports!! there so big and i dont want to get lost especially in Japan. When I arrive on the 14th you should come out for drinks before our tour starts get to no some people beforehand. I was thinking of maybe doing that celebrity homes tour that day if im not too jet lagged, i cant see myself sleeping cos ill be so excited!!
