I hope you dont mind me posting this but as someone living in New York who has gone on 4 contiki tours, i'd be more than happy to share my experiences and offer advice. I'm also thinking of going on a 5th this year though more likely in 2008.

Thank you very much for replying. Hey you are just about working for Contiki for the amount of tours you have done haha. Have you done the tour I'm thinking of doing, if so what did you think? I'm just going through my finances and wondered how much you think we need a day to spend US? Look forward to hearing from you.

Hey Jeanene. Yeh i'm trying to figure out how much I need to take aswell! I might put my cash that i'm taking on a credit card, then that gives me a bit of leverage if I need more than I have anticipated! I'm going on the same trip as you by the sounds of it!

My gf & I are doing the 'LA to The Bay' tour beforehand and then flying from San Francisco to New Orleans to start the Eastern Discovery. Really looking forward to it.

I have done the Wild Western tour which follows the same itinerary. Loved it!!! The highlights would be the helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. I have heard so much about the new Grand Canyon Sky Walk too. Have fun on the tour - see you in New Orleans

Yeah I did the Wild Western tour in 1996 on a Cosmos tour bus. The helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon was amazing. So here I am 11 years later doing it again. See you in New Orleans

I am doing the Grand Southern which starts in LA but then we pick you guys up in New Orleans on Sep 27th for the second half of the tour.
I'm also doing the Big Apple Explorer at the end. (Gees 28 days on a coach!!)
