Hey I was thinking about doing the Eastern Discovery tour on 8/02/07 until 19/02/07. I was just wondering if anyone else had thought about doing the tour at this time.

Hi Rachelle, yeh i will be travelling the US for about 3 months with 3 weeks in Mexico as well. It is getting very close now. Will you be in New Orleans for a few days before it starts?

Wow that's a massive trip, you must be excited! I was supposed to fly in only the day before, but now I'm going to Mammouth Mountain in California beforehand for about a week so I'm not sure how much earlier I'll be in New Orleans. How about yourself?

Yeh it is a big trip. I will be arriving in New Orleans on the 6th Feb. Not sure where to stay?

I've asked my travel agent to look for some cheaper places because the hotel contiki suggests in the booklet is pretty pricey. When I find some I'll let you know!

Rachelle, i have just booked the 6th & 7th at the hotel we start at (prytania??) because most of the hostels look pretty dodgy. It is $75 twin share. If you can not find anything you are welcome to share the room with me.

I hope you dont mind me posting this but as someone living in New York who has gone on 4 contiki tours, i'd be more than happy to share my experiences and offer advice. I'm also thinking of going on a 5th this year though more likely in 2008.
