Hi, I am doing the same tour (alone), I am 32 from Brisbane, Australia. The current daytime temps for the South Island is around 20 degrees (celcius) dropping to 10 at night - which is cold for me!! But will be a nice break from our summer.
G'Day Kel & Angie, I'm Tim from Sydney. I'll be flying on Christmas day - how festive and doing the trip too. It will be cold at night in NZ so I suggest we drink spirits to get through - Jim Beam is always a good option. Angie being a QLDer I guess you'll go for the Bundy.
I'm also a brizzy gal so 20 degrees is cold for me toooooo!!!. Can't wait not long now
