Hey All,

I'm doing the Scenic Southern departing Christchurch on Nov 06.
I'm travelling on my own for the first time, and hoping to meet some awesome people on the trip.
I'm so excited about the tour and I have been reading forums all day at work. I am especially excited about Milford Sound and the overnight boat trip.

Does anybody know if the pre-departure meeting is important? I don't get into Christchurch until really late the night before and will miss this.

Also, How do I know if I am on the clockwise or anti-clockwise? I really want to be on the tour that finishes the trip with the Glaciers.
