Do it!!!...I'm getting ready to do my 2nd Contiki Solo...It's scary at first but its amazing being in a place not knowing anyone but leaving knowing everyone...After spending so much time with the other tour mates you kinda leave feeling like family, I like to think that's the Contiki way...I'm sure there will be other solo travelers as well, It's just an amazing growing experience...So with that said just do it, don't think about it nor count on others to see the world.

I've done 4 contiki's by myself. The 3rd was for my 30th Birthday, it was a great way to celebrate.

I went alone when I had just turned 22. I did the Euro Discovery tour plus traveling on my own to the Czech Republic for a few days after. It was my first time in Europe and traveling alone. It wound up being the trip of a lifetime. I met a bus full of great people, some I am still friends with today. I even visited one in London 2 years after the tour and one visited me as he was traveling around the world a few years later. I had some interesting experiences traveling by myself to the Czech Republic via the train. I look back and laugh at it now even if it was not so funny at the time Razzer On the whole, traveling solo helped me learn some things about myself and I came back from the trip a better person. I recommend just going for it.

I'm turning 21 on the European Vista (Winter) tour, and I know of another guy who is turning 24 on the same day as me, on the same tour!

I'm travelling alone, in the sense that no one is accompanying me on tour, but is anyone really going to be "alone" on tour anyway? Half the point is meeting new people, and I can't wait to do that!

I figured that I can't wait around for everyone else to save up, or get motivated - I'm a full time student, but I've worked really hard to save up money for this trip, and I'm not going to let things like that get in my way...

Just go for it.

I did the European Discovery back in 2002 when I was only 20. I went all on my own. Got a cruise ship from Australia all the way to England for 6 and 1/2 weeks and finished off with the tour.

With contiki go with an open mind. The sights and scenery are great. Some hotels are good, some are bad. Your group may be a mix of pub hoppers or tourists so you will find other like minded people. There were things I liked about contiki and also hated. That said I am ready to book another contiki tour next year hopefully the British Isles.

Oh at least with Contiki your guaranteed to be with people your own age.
