Hi
I drank the tap water in Italy and it was fine, i think you only need to worry about the water in eastern europe. |

I usually always go bottled water, just to be safe. Your TM will usually tell you if the water is any good or not though...

Consider bringing a light weight water bottle like a Sigg, boil the water utilising a kettle or a korjo travellers water heating element, cool it and you are 100% guaranteed the water is safe for consumption wherever you go. This principle applies to all destinations and all continents.

Drinking a sufficient ammount of water is actually crucial on these tours to stay healthy and aviod the problems associated with the contiki cough.
Water kind of only provides temporary relief from thirst and drinking lots of it will only want you to use the toilet especially in winter. The water can also taste different from home. Consider bringing some isotonic powder like Gatorade( excellent for thrist relief) which you can mix and it will make the water pleasant to drink. |
