I'm considering doing the simply Italy tour and am also considering the single supplement. I have not traveled with Contiki before. Not a partier but would like to explore Italy and see the sights with people in my own age group. Thoughts?

I did that tour last year, it was fantastic there were a great group of people and tour guide was awsome.

There was only a few couple on the tour everyone else were singles.

I chose the triple share and got the dicount, (and i only had to share with one other person) and i was fournuate enough to share with someone i got along with and as a bonus i have a great new friend.

I really depends on yourself, if you find it difficult or uncomfortable to share with a stranger pay the extra, it will also give you some alone time if needed.

i also did this tour last feb it was my first time overseas and i did it alone! scary stuff i also did the triple share and only had to share with one other! it was hoenstly the best time of my life everyone on tour was so nice and friendly! we all got along and those few who didnt just didnt really talk so it wasnt uncomfy at all! and even if you do get a dodge roommate your very rarely actually in the room with them so you dont really need to worry!!!! honestly DO IT!!!!!!! it will be the best time of your life i would go back and do it in a second!!!!!! i also deffinitly would say that you should book another couple of nights in Rome not at the contiki hotel though there are ones just as nice and cheaper closer to the forum and that which is stayed in!!!!!
