For previous travelers,
What are the pros and cons of each season?

Thank u Smiler

Winter: Pros

It's the off season, there are not as many people around (you can see more in a shorter period of time) & it can be cheaper.
If you go over Dec/Jan it is the chirstmas season, many towns go over board with decoration and it looks fantastic.
IT's cold, so walk, climbing etc, equals no sweaty cloths. (you don't need to worry about washing your cloths as much)
If you like shopping, there a end of christmas/new year's sales.
Snow in some areas, Looks pretty.
Sking options.

Cons:
It's the off season and many museums close for restorations, and remolding of displays.
It's cold. (not an issue for me from Aust. LOVE the cold.)
A lot of public holiday's in the winter, lost of attactions, and twon close down.

I'm sure there are plenty or more reasons but there mine. Happy choosing.

If your biggest concern is $$, winter is probably better...the flights should be a lot cheaper, among other things. If you went in late fall, like late October or early November, the weather would probably be decent then; most weather-related websites indicate that it's fairly mild in most European cities during those months (cloudy and rainy, but not freezing). Not sure about December or January though.
