Hey Dan,

How are you doing?
I'm 20 years old. I'm working with disables and run a disco fore disables with twenty vullenteers (that's a lot of fun). When i have time off i work at a restaurant as a waitress and at night i party. This is my second contiki. My first one was in the United States (La on the Bay).
It was great and that is why i want to do the same in my own worldpart "Europe".
I'm coming 12 of September to Londen and after the trip i'm staying four more days. Were i'm staying i don't know yet.

So wat do u do in Kiwi Land? How old are you? First time contiki?
How long do you staying before and after the trip? What are youre traveling plans?

Marga

Wow you have a very full on life, and im sure very rewarding too.

Kiwiland? hehe funny, because you are the second dutch person ive met who calls it that haha, i work for a tobacco company, bad i know, but its just a job for me, as well as coach soccer, i absolutely love coaching, only started a couple of years ago, but coaching young kids (13-16years) is so rewarding, to see them develop, to believe in themselves, and when something you say actually works, it makes it all worthwhile. So anyway, Im 23, will be 24 by the time of the trip, and as of yet i haven't done a contiki trip, so should be a fun experience. Im not sure how long im staying before the trip. I'll probably do the same as you and stay a couple of days but im not sure where yet. Im going to stay afterwards and work, and am organising some interviews now before i go over. I need to go visit my Aunty at some stage too, she lives in provence, France and luckily she has a car that i can borrow to go visit Spain and that sort of thing.

I haven't been back to Europe for over 10 years, will be scary as im coming all by myself, but at the same time good fun!!!!!!

Sorry, i wrote a reallly long reply, but yeah, im excited, just don't think it will come along quick enough

So what was the USA contiki like? good times? What was the West Coast like? any good clubs? nice people? lots of parties? let me know

How hard is it to run the disco you run? thats awesome that you're doing it, alot of work im sure though. How long have you done that for? Met some really nice people?

Anyway, until next time, have a great weekend!!!

Dan

Hey Dan,

You have a lot of contacts in Europe? Great.
A job is a job but do you smoke? or is it not usefull?

I love soccer. I've played it on a learning place in Holland with disables. I come back ones in the two monts to play soccer with them. After my ex boyfriend i watch more soccer and finaly i know the rules. But with the kids playing soccer it's realy great two. It's realy good to get rewarding for that.

That realy a great traveling plan. What kind of interviews do you take in Europe?
10 years is a long time. Are you born in Europe?
Every country a different language!

Why are you going by yourself?
I'm doing it two because my friends don't like to travel.

The USA contiki was great. We had a great group of people. I was the only one from Europe. The most of the people came from Australie and New Zealand, than was there a couple from Brazil, Canada, Taiwan and South Africa.
I was just 20 when i get on the trip and in USA sucks that because you must be 21 to get in to a club. And i realy love the party but i've got thanks to that money left to do other crazy things. Balloonflight above the dessert, helicopter flight above the grand canyon, the chippendales in Las Vegas and more extra's. I'm turn in November 21 and next year i'm going back. And in the Grand Canyon they organised a party for me and two other girls under the age of 21. The girls didn't come but it was realy great. And in Las Vegas the first night they believed that i was 21 and that was why i got in a karaoke club and that was realy a good club.
The tourmanager was also realy a good one. He realy tride to get me in to a lot of clubs. And the other people share the beers. They were all very nice people. One midday we were in Mexico and that was realy nice to.

The disco for disables is very fun to run. At the 28 of oktober this year i've organise with 7 other people a great festival for those people with famous dutch artistes. And i love doing it because it's rewarding not with money but with a lot of hugs. And i excited to do once in the two weeks the disco. If it's fun and excited it's not much work. four evenings in the month.

Sorry for the realy long reply. And i liked your long excited story. It can be wurst. (see my story).

Marga

Heya!!

No not alot of contacts in Europe, i have my Aunty in France, and about 4 or 5 people in London. I have more contacts in USA, so i definately want to go there also, really want to goto Las Vegas and New York, but really, would love to do a roadtrip with a bunch of people!!!

No i don't smoke, in our company about 50% of the people smoke and 50% don't, so its kind of nice, its quite a difficult industry here in New Zealand, no advertising obviously, but taxes for smokes are huge here!! about 70% of the packet price is all taxes and the there is lots of legislation about what we can do in store. But i love the people i work with and the company looks after me which is good.

Yeah soccer is awesome, i missed out on World Cup tickets this year, obviously being in NZ they were really hard to get. But i have a goal to watch soccer in the following places before i die, South America, Netherlands, Spain, England and a World Cup match, I was going to take my Dad with me if i got tickets as he loves soccer too, and would have been a nice thing to do, but will have to wait till South Africa now.

Im going for Marketing interviews in the UK, i got a call from a recruitment company in the UK yesterday who wants to have a chat with me so hopefully im planning to have a minimum of 4-5 interviews organised before i leave. No im not born in Europe unfortunately, Mum took my brother and i on a small tour through USA, England, France, Netherlands, Singapore and Hawaii when i was about 12. Was exciting, but will be completelyt different now.

Um, im coming by myself because it makes you work harder, just broke up with my girlfriend a little while ago and i was always going to go overseas by myself, it will make me step out of comfort zones, ill meet more people, and plus my friends will never leave this country, they're boring hahahaha

So what were the people from NZ on your trip like? hope they were good otherwise im kind of not looked kindly upon haha

Sounds like you had an amazing time, this trip will probably be even better because you know how the tours work. Its going to be quite exciting, and you''ll have to show me some off the beaten track places!!! show me what im missing living on this side of the world!!!

Yeah it would have sucked to only be 20 in USA, oh well you'll have to party it up in the clubs this time!!!! make up for the lost time!!!

Plus of course see all the sites, but you've probably seen them all before?

So what are you upto for the weekend?
Anything interesting?

Hey

The worldtickets fore footbal this your in Germany are allmost 1000 euro's that is realy expensive. I don't worry about every euro but that is a lot of money. Maiby i going to watch the soccer games on a big screem in Germany. But it can be that i'm going to watch the soccer games in one of the bars in our village. I hope the Netherlands are coming far in this year tournemant. Because we have a awesome team.

It's always a pity to split up with your girlfriend. I've been now single for over 2 years and i like it.

That's realy great that your mum did that for you. I think thanks to that you have the same travelers blude in your body as your mum. My parrents take me to some places in Europe i''ve not been to all of the tour other wise i won't take the tour. I've seen Amsterdam almost 6 times, but not seen the Anne frank house and the Night life. I've have got a lot of chance but my friends are boring. I've seen Rome and that's it from the tour. I've never been in England and not in the city Paris. Ive been there on the highway, Disneyland 3 times and in the trains from Paris but not in the city. I've been a lot in Germany but i think not on the places were hedding to. That's why it is so exsited for me to.
I've seen with my parrents Barcelona, Greece, Turkey, Curacoa and Disney world in Orlando. My friends don't want to leave the country go eader because they are boring to. haha

My best friends from that tour where coming from 2 of NZ and 3 of Australie. They were asome. I've stil contact with them.

Here it's now early in the morning. It's working weekend.
And i must work every morning and afternoon. pfff
In the disables care we have morning, afternoon and evening working days and most of the time i work two times on a day: morning and evening. I'm the youngest and the others are between 40 and 60 years old. Realy old ladys and realy boring. I'm not a person to get up very easy that is why i got this weekend the disco for the disables. That would be a lot of fun. I do this 2 years now. And i'm the second time the finaly responsibal (i hope you understand). It's realy exciting. After that i'm going to sit on the bar at home and drinking a beer. When i going out i must pay for maiby one hour and that is not word it. But you don't know because i can change my mind.

But Now i realy need to go because i probalby be late again. haha.

What up to this weekend? What is the weather now in NZ?
Have a great weekend.

Marga

Fantastic!!!!

More people on the bus!!!!!

So how many friends have you got coming with you?

Should be a great time, so now there are 3 of us plus your friends(that i know of anyway im sure there are heaps more), this is a great way to at least kind of say hello before you go on the trip.

Im heading over by myself, so will be scary but eye-opening at the same time.  Have you ever been to Europe before? How old are you all? what do u do and where are you all from in Aus? What do u want to see or do especially on the trip, ive heard Oktoberfest is the Highlight.

Sorry if this is mis-typed and short, im supposed to be working though, so better get back to it.

Good to hear some more people are coming

Write back if you want

Dan

There is 6 of us going, we are a group of girls and boys!, we are all about the same age, 25 most of us!

We are all keen on seeing alot of the main attractions, drinking and meeting new people will also be great!

Well glad we have a Kiwi on the bus!!

Hey,

I'm going alone on this trip. This is my second contiki tour. I have did the La to the bay tour in Amerika. That was realy a great experience.

On this trip i've been before in Rome and Amsterdam (of course) it's a realy fun city! But i life in the south of Holland and i've never seen the night life there in Amsterdam. My friends don't want to go there for the night life they like it in the south. They are boring in with that kind of stuf.
Amsterdam is not possible alone, it's a dangerious city specially alone.

That great and big tour in 2007. It's for me a realy big dream.
Are you going alone?
Are you going to work there?
If i win the jackpot with a lot of money i make the same plan as you.

Where do you life in the near by Londen?

Marga xxx
