Hey Scott. Stoked about your arrival just because you're old, older than me, making me not that old! And because the older people are, the more likely they are going to want to go for a run with me in the morning instead of being irreparably hungover from the night before. Yay!

Sorry guys as much as I love running, my running shoes will be the first thing to be left out of my backpack, of course just to try save a little weight...haha

Yay for over 25s - was worried I'd end up camp mum or something! Wink
Plans post-contiki are attempt to find a job somewhere...anywhere! Have a one-way ticket to London, so am pretty much prepared to go anywhere for a job.

One-way tickets are the best! The lack of predictability is the key .. haha, but I am slightly wild like that. I don't think you'll be Camp Mum, I actually think there is a substantial number of older folk on this trip so far, on this forum anyway, which bodes well. Unless the other 40 people are 18. Both you and your sister trying to find jobs? I really want to work somewhere random eh, just somewhere that's not London, just to go against the grain..

Sorry guys, we're starting to sound a bit ageist here!
I quite like the idea of living in Edinburgh, actually - I'm like you, not too interested in the big city life of London...but never know what might happen. Yes, both me and my sis looking for jobs, but in very different fields. Money - or lack of - will probably determine what we do and whether we end up staying together after the tour.

Hello all!!! Looks like I'm the only American so far...I am also by myself and will be turning 22 on the 2nd day of our trip which is in Amsterdam so we will have another thing to celebrate besides being in Europe!!! I'm so excited...My sister did a similar tour in April 2006 and actually met someone from Brisbane, AU and they got married this past July and are now leaving here in Wisconsin...Pretty crazy huh?!? That's not why I'm on it so boys don't get worried!!! haha...I am doing a little bit of traveling before...I am in a wedding on a Caribbean cruise May 17th-24th, spending two nights in Florida, then flying to Philiadephia, and the NYC, then on May 29th flying to Dublin til June 2nd...When does everyone fly into London and does anyone have any plans? Think I might do a day trip to Stonehedge if anyone is interested? Looking forward to meeting everyone! We will have blast :-)

Good to see someone from outside NZ and Australia on the trip. I am going to be in Dublin from the 31st to the 3rd as well. Don't have to many plans for Dublin but thinking about doing a day trip somewhere. Are you travelling afterwards. I have 10days in Spain and a week in the South of France.

Has everyone noticed that our trip is now sold out. Very exciting, the more people the better I say. Scott
