Hi Folks! Anybody going on the European Whirl the first week of September 2007? I'm going to do the tour alone and it would be great to get in touch with my fellow tour mates beforehand. I am a 25 year old female from the San Francisco Bay Area. This won't be my first time in Europe, but definitely the first time in most of the countries we will be visiting. Let me know!

If you mean the Sept 5 - 22nd tour, i'll be on the tour.

I'm a 24 year old male from Perth, Australia also doing the Contiki solo. Leaving Perth then having a few nights in Hong Kong then in London a few days before our tour starts.

After the tour spending a few more weeks in Europe. Through France, heading to Spain then off to Munich for Oktoberfest for a week. Our Football team is having our end of season trip in Munich, so catchup with the boys.

Can't wait, should be a good trip.

I guess the start date is different for those coming from North America....so yep, I meant beginning Sept. 5.

I wish I could extend my vacation after the trip...but I'm going to start grad school in London right after the trip. Bummer, but the trip itself should be awesome.

Contiki is an Australian based company, right? I can't wait to meet all the cool Aussies.

That will be pretty cool doing grad school in London. I'd like to stay in London for a while after my trip and work.. but see what happens.

Hmmm I think it's an Australian based company, pretty much everyone I know has done a Contiki before.

Haha you want to meet cool Aussies, well I think there will be quite a few on the bus!

I'm looking forward to meeting other people from around the world. My mates and I go to Bali every year and all we seem to meet are mostly Aussies, and a few random German backpackers.

Well this is my first overseas trip so I really don’t know what to expect at all. People at work ask me where im going and I never can remember.. So I just worked out that the photo on your profile is not you as other ppl have that one as well. I hope there are not lots of Perth People on our tour only cos I want to meet new ppl not more Perth ppl.

First overseas trip.. what a trip for your first trip Europe! Mine was just a short flight over to Bali, nice little 3.5 hour trip.

I'm sure you will meet people from all around the world. I know what you mean but, whats the point of going to Europe to meet people from Perth.

I'm a 25 y.o from Melbourne and I just so happen to be heading off this tour as well!! First time overseas, flying over with one of my best mates, but doing the tour on my lonesome...arrive in London on 29 Aug. So excited...can't believe how close it's getting...
After Contiki tour my best friend and I are hitting the bier halls @ Oktoberfest...watch out Munich!! Then plan to travel and work in UK and Europe for approx 6 months...

Sounds like you have everything sorted out. Contiki tour, Oktoberfest, working in Europe for 6 months..what a trip!

I think there are a few of us doing the solo tour. I just can't get my head around i'll be jumping on a plane then arriving in Hong Kong and London not knowing anyone or anything.

It sure will be an experience
