I've just booked to go on the Grand Canadian leaving New York on the 15th of May 09. This is my first Contiki Tour and I'm flying solo so looking for others on this tour.

I'm 23 and from Melbourne, Australia and can't wait to do this trip!

Hi Jess,

I'm not on your tour, I'm doing the Grand Northern, leaving NY 15th May, but from what I've read on here, we will probably be on the same bus from NY to Niagra until you fly across to the other side of Canada, if that makes sense! Also on the bus will be the North-by-Northeast tour group. So don't worry there are some other people on the bus with you!!! Check out the other forums to meet them.

This is my 3rd contiki trip, I did the Ultimate European last year and will have done the Grand Southern before the Grand Northern starts.

You will have a brilliant time, I'm travelling on my own too, but you soon make friends.

I'm 26 from Sydney. Are you staying in the Marakech hotel NY before the tour? I'll be there 4 nights before the tour starts, never been to NY so I'm keen to explore!

Hi Katie,

I was looking at doing the Grand Northern but figured I wanted to see as much of Canada as possible, and had some extra leave to take.

I'm staying at the Marakech in NY the night before the tour. I'm coming into NY the week before, but heading to Washington DC for a few days before the tour.

Great to have a fellow Aussie on part of the tour! I can't wait!
