Looks like I'll be on this tour with you to Toronto (was originally doing the North by North East in the other direction but it got cancelled).

Am trying to swing things so I can do the BAE before hand starting on the 30th May, but not sure at this stage.

Will already have done the Rockies tour in early May so will be able to fill you in on what's ahead of you!

I would like to join the Grand Canadian Tour as well!

But unfortunately I just can do that if anyone of you will cancel the tour over the next three weeks! :-(

I booked the tour a month ago but my travel agency made a big mistake! The assistant there booked the flights first and shortly afterwards they?ve got a message from contiki: the tour is sold out! **** happened!!!

Now I?ve got flights (to New York, from Vancouver back to New York after the tour and finaly back home) but no tour. And the worst thing is that I can not cancel the flights. It will cost me at least 500 Euros!

Thats why I am on a waitlist now! I can?t really look forward to start my vacations, that?s so horrible!

Would you like to cancel? Please do it! Ironic, isn?t it!

If you want to send me some encouraging words, feel free to do it!

Or just keep your fingers crossed that everything turns out well!

there as i definately plan on keeping my spot. Are there any other tour

I didn?t find any other tour company offering a trip which fits exactly between my flights! That?s impossible I guess.

But what I don?t understand, the bus wasn?t completely full on all my former contiki tours. There was always at leaste two seats free. Please pay attention to that if I don?t join the tour!

But anyway, I still hope to see you soon!

Oh no that is really bad for you! I am on the Grand Canadian tour and am definitely not intending to cancel. But I was thinking about your situation and here's a suggestion...
I think there are still spots available on the Canada & the Rockies tour departing Vancouver June 9th (we join up with that tour in Vancouver). You could fly into New York and just do your own travel and then get a flight to Vancouver and pick up with us on the 2nd half of the tour. You might even be able to get onto one of the Big Apple Explorer tours in New York that run for 3 days.

Anyway.. just a suggestion.. hope you figure something out!
The Grand Canadian has been full for awhile - my friend Bec actually scored the last seat available.

I already thought about something like that. But contiki told my travel agency even that part of the tour is full.

And doing my own travel seems to get more expensive than a contiki trip but without all that fun and for my own.

I am still hoping cause I had to cancel a trip two years ago due to illness to. And that was only one week before.

Hey there Andre,

have you tried to get an ex-gratia solution from the travel agency? It was obviously their mistake and not your. You should also check if this qualifies as contract error as per BGB, you have certain rights as a customer that you should use to the full extent.

Unfortunately I will cancel my waiting list position tomorrow. Nobody cancelled for me :-(

If anyone likes to tell me afterwards how it was and if there was really not a single free seat, that would be great!

I try to switch to the Southern Adventure before a compleate cancellation of everything and losing lots of money!
