I'm doing the Grand Canadian that leaves on May 30th! I am hoping to get into New York a few days before but have not looked at places to stay yet - have you?

I'm currently in reserve (australia sold all their allotment for this trip so they're trying to get my place from another countries allotment). My travel agent is recommending I stay at the Excelsior. It's a 4 * hotel and costing me $728 for the 2 nights. I'm not staying at the Marrakech, outbreak of bedbugs there! :-(.

What's this about reserve? Gee that sucks. I hope you are able to get on eventually!
