Hi my name is Paul, or Welby, and i'm doing this particular Contiki tour about a week after i've done the Russia & Scandinavian tour. I'm from Adelaide so its great to know their will be at least 1 other aussie on this trip I'll email you soon so we can talk some more.
Im going to book this trip today. Im going solo and am a bit nervous but i know ill be fine. So i was wondering where you guys are staying before the tour starts as i have been told the Marrackesh hotel where the tour starts is all booked out. I will arrive in NY on Tuesday 12th August.
hi, I"m booked at the Marrakech the nite before the tour. Booked about a month back. Try the Beacon Hotel. Its still on Broadway a couple blocks away....I think. Its the hotel Contiki used to leave from so other tour goers may be there too!Go book the tour, only 7 weeks to wait!!

I ended up booking at the Royal Park Hotel/Hostel which isnt far from the Marrackesh, so will be staying there from the 12th. Are you going by yourself Deb?
Happy to see there will be a few aussies on the tour. I'm sure its the aussies that make up most of the numbers on these tours actually. I'm travelling alone too. I arrive in New York on the 10th also but I'm staying with family a few days on Long Island and will only be in Manhattan the day before. Does anyone know if we have a tour meeting the night before??? Anyone got their contiki pack yet?

They usually do have a meeting the night before. I havnt got my contiki pack yet. So how old are you guys? Im 28 and am afraid ill be one of the oldest on the trip! Although i did the Grand southern in 2006 and there were people in their 30's on that trip.
Yep - I'm travelling on my own... never done that before so am a bit nervous! Did a Contiki tour in Europe last year and had a ball so thought, why not... it's a great way to meet people.
And don't worry about age... I'm 30... it's all about how young you are at heart!
Well while we are confessing our age Im 33 so i am most likely the oldest on tour.....but it sure wont stop me having fun and a laugh. Hey Deb, any chance your flying Quantas out of Sydney? Would laugh if we are on the same flight too!!

Hey - I got my contiki pack the other day, Has everyone else got theres? It makes it alot more exciting, only 4 weeks now before i leave. Looking forward to meeting you all very soon
