Hi Margs, I'm not 100% sure but I think the first part of your tour from New York to Toronto combines with the Grand Northern and the North by North East tours on the same bus.They are both leaving NY on the 1st. There are quite a few of us on those tours here posting and catching up in New York before the 1st so have a look at North by North East post started by TigerKat or the Grand Northern started by kiwicrackdealer. Are you doing a tour in NZ before this one? If you have any Q's about NZ just ask and i'll try and answer. Crap I hope this doesn't make me look like a freak.

I am doing the Grand Northern in May ... finishing in LA on the 29th. It's gonna be a blast! I think Pervy is right that the tours do link up. I hope this is the case for the NZ ones too as I am doing the Explorer one and I think I am the only one ... ah well.

Ok, Pervy (you did not sound freaky! lol) what's the top 5 things to see and do in NZ?

Hey Karini, here is my list of top 5 things to do. But just remember it's what I like so you might hate them.
1. In Auckland if you want to party there is a cool bar called Boggiewonderland, you can dance as bad as you want and no one cares and it's very close to the Mecure.
2. I love Waitomo caves. Good thing it's on the tour.
3. Agradome in Rotarua, it's full of sheep which is as Kiwi as you can get.Plus the zorbing.
4. Te Papa in Wellington is ment to be great, I haven't been(planning on going next year when I do a Contiki with my mate from Oz)
5. Anything in Queenstown.

If you like to drink beer try the monteths brand of beer, I like the Radler. Or there are other brands like Tui, Speights and Export Gold.All a good drop.
Try some L&P soft drink and Hokeypokie ice cream and pineapple lumps(yum!!)and jaffas

Thanks for your messages-that'll be great if the Grand Canadian and Grand Northern tours are linking up. I am probably going to be in New York for a few days before the tour starts on 1st. Will go and check out the North by North East post shortly to see who's doing what!
