You're not alone!  I'm also booked on this tour.  I'm doing the Wild Western beforehand which should be a blast.  I fly into Vancouver the day before the tour and I'm staying an extra two nights at the end.  I can't wait to go, I've heard so many great things about this tour.  We're guaranteed to have a ball.  Have you been on Contiki before?

Unfortunately i'm a virgin to the contiki and this tour will be the first of many to come i'm sure. I'll be staying 2 nights before hand but i have to leave straight after the tour heading down to LA to do the Grand Southern contiki afterwards.....then on to europe.... Can't wait!!!

Hi Everyone,

Good to see the group is growing ! Welcome aboard Greg and Kay !  I'm staying in Vancouver for an extra 2 nights at the end of the tour, and only arriving the day before the tour, so we should definately go for drinks/dinner that night.  I fly home the afternoon of the 23rd.  Looks like there's plenty to do in Vancouver and also a good night life !  Check out www.vancouver.com. 

I also saw a post from someone who has done this tour and they said it was snowing in Banff in June when they were there last year.  I think I will be packing some thermals !

I can't believe its almost the end of January.  The trip is coming around really fast.  I'm saving all my dollars so I can do all of the optionals.  I'm a bit of a contiki addict this will be my 5th tour.

I haven't decided when I'm getting in to Vancouver yet, as I'm in Detroit the week before. I'm flying out on the morning of the 24th...

I'm planning on doing all the optionals at the moment - everyone better do the whitewater rafting, it's always more fun with more rafts out on the river!

Whitewater rafting! That's the main reason I picked this tour, it's what I am looking forward to the most!!!

I should arrive in Vancouver sometime on the 11th (am coming across from Victoria) and leave the afternoon of the 22nd. Jane & I are hoping to squeeze in the Capilano Suspension Bridge somewhere in this free time too!

Not long to go now, I only have 74 sleeps til I fly out! I can't wait!

My sister and I are also doing this tour!!  We were originally booked on one departing later in may but it was cancelled....

Anyway, we are looking forward to it, sounds like it will be a tour full of Aussies!

We will be getting to Vancouver the night b4 the tour starts, and staying on 3 nights after.

Our group is getting bigger !  Such a pain when a tour gets cancelled, but there's not much you can do but join another one.

I will also be arriving the day before the tour but only staying 2 nights after.  Its going to be a great trip, its getting closer and closer, I have 77 days to go till I fly out and counting !  Am doing the Wild Western beforehand, can't wait for Las Vegas.

Can't believe how many Aussies are gonna be there!

No jetlag 4 me, I'll be in the US from the 19/04, not long to go now, that's only 57 sleeps away! !

Is it really gonna be that cold? I don't know if I have room in my suitcase 4 big heavy woollen jackets etc. What's everyone packing?

And for those of you who have been on Contiki before, to pay for the optional extra's, can we use credit card or travellers cheques, or is it cash only?

Hey Kay!!

You won't need a wool coat, but if you're going to be on the west coast
(which I know you will be) I would DEFINITELY suggest that you bring a
waterproof jacket!!! -I would bring a lightweight waterproof jacket and
a warm sweater to wear under it and you should be fine!!

And you can pay for the optionial extra's with credit card or
traveller's cheques...I think that they accept just about anything for
payment!!
