I have just booked up for the Grand Canadian starting in Vancouver on August 25th which is the Rockies and then a few more days over in the east of Canada. I'm Adam, 25 and live in Adelaide, Australia. Really looking forward to the tour!!!

My name is Leigh and I am a 24 year old guy from Sydney, Australia. (I'm one of the Aussies that Adam just told you about thats doing the full GC tour departing 25th Aug) I didn't realise this tour and the GC joined up, so it is awesome to see theres more people doing the western side of Canada. I am so excited and can't wait to meet everyone and see the sights.



I'm currently speaking to Liana (the kiwi) on msn messenger, she says hi to everyone.



I'll be arriving in Vancouver on the 24th Aug and staying at our Contiki accommodation (Sandman Hotel) in Vancouver which is where our tour bus departs from on the 25th. Are any of you staying at the hotel the night before?? We could have a few drinks or something in the hotel bar, get excited about the trip and get to know each other before we depart the next morning. We could even go for a swim in the hotel pool if its warm enough ;P



It will be a great trip and I'm so looking forward to it.

      I'm a 25yo aussie chick from melbourne also doing this tour. I'll be getting inot vancouver 3 days before the tour and staying at the hotel the nite before like u guys
Can't wait to go as its my first time overseas. Anyone got any tips/ideas for me?

I just got the best info/news ever.....I phoned the Contiki office in Sydney last Saturday morning and the GC tour (as well as the 'Rockies' tour) departing Vancouver 25th Aug is fully booked and is a definate for departure. More people more parties!!!



Ahhhh I'm so excited about the trip and can't wait to meet you all in person real soon.



Its also been awesome to recieve emails back from some of you and get to know a little about each of you.

Ok everyone who is going to be in Vancouver early for the Grand Canadian/Rockies tours.  I say we all meet at 7pm on August 23rd in the lobby of the Sandman Hotel.  We can then go out for dinner and drinks to get to know each other.  Who's with me?  

We only have one more month to go.  I am totally excited to meet and hang with everyone.

Meeeeeeeeee I'm with ya!!!!!! Sounds like a plan Steph (of the USA). Meeting up for drinks and going out for dinner sounds like a great way of getting to know one another hehehe! To be honest though I'm still nervous about meeting everyone. We just need to look for each other....I wonder though how we'll know who each other is?? I am supposing, we just need to spot others who look like they're nervously scanning the room from left to right looking for people too lol



Ah yes only 1 more month exactly from this Monday Bring it on!



We need to pump up tha dance tunes too on a jukebox somewhere too.

Great idea steph u can count me in for that. I'm booked into the hotel from 22nd until we leave.

Was my bday yesterday and I got a travel bag from my folks and a backpack from my bro and all I wanna do now is load them up!!

Am I correct that the 10day and 18day tours are together, cause I'm doing the 10days and adam ur doing the 18day right?

I bought my bag last weekend from Rebel Sport...its a really nice bag, strong and sturdy. The brand is Black Wolf. I too can't wait to fill it up and off I go!

Hey Caz, yeah we are definitely on the same tour (the first ten days anyway) even though my tour is longer than yours. The tours combine for the rockies. Happy birthday for two days ago! See you there...
