I have just returned from my Canada trip amd happened to be lurking in this board. The ZipTrek for some reason doesn't appear on your itinerary/optionals list but it is definitely offered by COntiki and costs $95. Worth every penny if you ask me (I did every optional offered so if you want an opinion, feel free to drop me a line).

Its getting closer - can you believe we only have about 2 weeks to go.

Stacey - have finally checked out the website for the ziptrek. - Am definately keen to do it.. I am a bit of an adrenaline junky, so if you like extreme sports you can pretty much guarantee that i will be doing them.
If this is an optional extra then this will be even better as we will be guaranteed a spot as well.

Me too! I wanted to find a sky dive place in Canada since I usually do it on vacation but I'm up for trying the zip line tour instead. I think I'm going to cancel my zip line reservation and go through the contiki optional instead. I am DEFINITELY doing this! I am planning on doing all the optional except for the helicopter (due to the $).

Can't wait - 2 weeks!!!

Also we will probably get a cheaper price through contiki as they get special rates as they book groups and also guarantee the company business.

Its a plan then... we are both definately up for the zipline...

If I remember correctly, it's like $99 on the Zipline website and someone on the boards said it was $95 through contiki so not much difference. It will be better going with other people though. I have cancelled my reservation so I'll go with the optional instead of on my own.

Everyone else - I can't wait to meet you all! If anyone will be in Vancouver the day before, let me know. I think I arrive in the afternoon on the 9th.

Hey Lisa and everyone else on the tour. This is my first Contiki Experience and can't wait! I'll be starting the tour in Seattle and will hopefully arrive on the 9th. My email is vthrippleton@hotmail.co.uk. It would be good to meet up.

Hi all, I shall be arriving in Vancouver on the 9th August, hope others who are staying want to meet up for a few drinks before the tour starts. This is my 4th contiki tour and I have never been disappointed, should be great fun!

We'll probably have a pre-tour meeting the night before tour starts (on the 9th) so we can head out for a few drinks after the meeting. I am not sure if they'll have a meeting in Seattle and Vancouver or what...
