There was someone who was checking out our tour, but was doing the Grand Canadian which hooks up with the Jul 4-15 Canada & Rockies tour, so you'll be joining another tour midway through... just wanted to let you know that... my suggestion would be if you're doing that tour, then you should just opt for the Grand Canadian... hope this helps.

I did the Grand Northern a few years ago and there were people that did the first couple of days in eastern canada and then flew over to western canada to join the Canada and the Rockies tour - that is what is called the Grand Canadian tour. However there were only 3 people who did the whole thing so i wouldn't worry about too many people knowing each other before the rockies tour starts.
