If you join a reverse tour, then you will join a tour that is already in progress. You will be hopping on the reverse Grand Explorer/Adventurer tour that has already completed the South Island.

A regular Northern Highlights begins in Auckland with participants also beginning the Grand Adventurer/Explorer forward tour.

You can also find other tour mates on the Adventurer and Explorer meeting place. Just match up the start dates (for the forward tour) or end dates (for the reverse tour) and look for the appropriate posts.
