Just wondering if anyone was on the winter wanderer tour departing the 15th of November?  I'm traveling with three of my friends and am looking forward to meeting anyone else on the same tour.

hey Megan,

No this is my first time overseas so i am really excited.  I've heard that they are really good tours though.  We fly into london on saturday the 11th and are staying there for four nights before the tour starts.  Not long now.

Well, we are working in Scotland at the moment saving up a bit before we go, we will be in London a few days before we leave also. 
Where in Aussie are you from? my partner Simon is from Darwin and has family in Perth.

Wow, how is working in scotland?  We were going to go up there for awhile but everyone was telling us it would be too cold.  I'm from the north of brisbane about a forty minute drive to the sunshine coast.  Where are you from in New Zealand?  We are staying at the royal national hotel in london four days before, its where the tour leaves from.

Scotland is pretty awesome, we managed to get jobs working in a hotel in the Highlands, weather is ok, like any place it has its moments.  Last week we had some amazing weather, soo sunny and then days like today where it pours down.

Im from the south island, last place we lived was Dunedin for four years. 

We are staying at the Royal National Hotel as well, on the 13th and 14th before the tour.

Hey Megan,

That sound really nice, how long have you been in Scotland for?  I'm planning to do a working holiday when i'm finish nursing in Scotland, but we are not going to go up there this time unless we catch a train or bus up there for a day.   After the contiki tour we are meeting a friend over in ireland and doing another tour over there for about two weeks so hopefully it won't be too cold in places like belfast but i think it will be.  I am planning to go over to new zealand sometime next year, i heard the south island was the best.

Hey there i just booked to go on this tour, i decided i wanted to go by myself as a graduation present before i settle into working life :|. I am heaps excited about it i am 21 from Wollongong N.S.W and looking forward to having the time of my life. So you all have to be nice to me cause i won't know anyone :P.

hey Sammy and Taz, its good to hear from you, i am not staying at the royal national but at the generator hostel, i thought it would be a good atmosphere to start off the trip and get me in the mood to have a great time. I would love to get together with you guys though for a drink before we set off. When do you guys get to London? i get there the day before the tour leaves early in the morning uhh yuk. Have you guys decided which extra's you are gonna do? Some of em sound really good.

Its cool that your getting there a day before the tour.  Ample
time to hang out and have a few drinks! We are getting to london on
the 11th of November (also early in the morning) so we can see some
sights and do some tours, like the Jack the Ripper Tour We're
probably going to do most of the optional extras. We are definitely
doing Moulin Rouge as that sounds awesome, i think we're doing the
gondola ride and most of the optional dinners but i'm not quite sure to
be frank! lol I'll ask taz as she wrote all the things down we wanted
to do and i'll get back to you on that one.

Hey All!

I too am doing the Winter Wonderer in November departing the 15th. I fly into London on the 11th of November flying with an Austrian Airline.

SHANE! Wow. I live in Picton, NSW. I cant belive you are from wollongong. Are you finishing uni this year? I am at ACU Strathfield.

I am travelling with two other friends, however I am ending the tour in Amsterdam as I have friends there that I am spending an extra week with before heading home.

I am so excited!

Hi everyone, only a few months to go!! we are so excited.  Glad to hear other people are going on the tour, we were getting a little worried as its not a gauranteed tour.  Would be awesome to catch up with people in London before we all head off, we will be at the royal hotel 13th and 14th before the tour.
