Hey Shan! I posted a bit about this in my posting. I haven't been on these optionals but I have done my fair share of research on the ones the WW go on. Just look for the posting with my sn on it. Smiler

Did the Winter Wanderer in January. Did most of the optionals and loved them.
Didn't do -
Swiss Fondue Lunch. Expensive and right in the middle of a sightseeing day. Easier to get something while exploring.

Venetian restaurant - Hadn't heard good reviews and again it was easier to get something cheaper ourselves. Only half the group went so the rest of us hung together and met the others for the boat trip back when they had finished.

Prague cruise - Prague was my fave place and like Lucerne I didn't want to rush my sightseeing to make it in time for lunch. Those who went really enjoyed it though.

Amsterdam Volendam Restaurant - Expensive. Lots of people went and said it was okay. Most went cos it was the last night but we met up with everyone for the canal cruise and had a great last night anyway.

Did all the others. I reluctantly agreed to go to Space Disco but had a ball. One big Contiki party really (lots of groups there at same time).
Moulin Rouge is expensive but a must. Do the walking tours and the Schnapps Musuem.
Also two other things not mentioned in optionals but we got to do - Mauthausen concentration camp and Amsterdam sex show. Both worth doing.
Hope this helps Smiler

Oops I also meant to say that you can always change your mind about optionals while on tour. You get a list at the start of the tour and mark the ones you want to do. Our TM told us if we were the only one not doing something and gave us the option to change our mind. Also with a least a days notice she let us cancel or join optionals. Also you didn't have to pay for them all upfront some people paid in two or three installments. This is probably dependent on your TM though. Ours was awesome!
If you have any other tour questions feel free to email me - kimmygeorgie@hotmail.com
