Hey everyone!

I'm so ridiculously excited.. only 13 days till we leave for London and 18 days till our tour starts!!

I've heard different things about the optional extras.. some people have recommended some and not others, while other people have said that they're all great and even if we decide not to do one we'll end up probably doing it anyway (because it seems like everyone on the bus is doing it and we won't want to miss out!). So I guess we'll just see what happens!

Should we pick a date to try and catch up before the tour starts? Seems like everyone is arriving on either the 29th or 30th. What about if we meet at the Contiki basement on the 31st at about 5pm for an early NYE drink? Or has everyone already got big plans for that afternoon/evening? If anyone has any other ideas let us know!

Can't wait to meet everyone and get our trip started!!!

Hey everyone, not too long at all now until the tour starts up. I’ve been starting to think about the optional activities a bit, and they all look great. It would be hard to decide not to do some of them. I have a colleague who did one of the shorter Contiki Europe tours last July who said that the canal tours and cruises were amazing, the guided tours were great, and that the Moulin Rouge was a little overrated. Overrated or not it’s still a once-in-a-lifetime experience though. I was also told that a certain unadvertised extra in Amsterdam is hilarious and a great time too. I will probably end up doing the majority of them.

I would definitely like to meet up with those who are interested for a drink or something sometime before the tour starts. What you suggested Lisa (fizzypenguin) would work just fine for me, whatever people are interested in. I actually have not done any planning for my time in London yet, I should probably get on that. In the meantime I hope everyone enjoys their holiday season!

I'm not going to arrive in London until the 1st but I was hoping ppl would be around the night before tour starts..? I've heard everyone tends to meet in the bar for a "get to know you drink", how does that sound? At the royal national, I mean. Is anyone planning to stay there before and after the tour?
4 days until I leave So exciting! I need to start packing :P lol
