Yeah i know but dont get worried, I hear only a small percentage of people who do a contiki actually know about this website and the forums. Im sure the tour will be full or near to at least.

Wow im excited! Its coming quickly. Almost dont want it to come too quick though, once it starts it will end as quick as it came!!!!

I work for a large accounting firm in adelaide and i study commerce part time at uni. working fulltime + study keeps me pretty busy.


Broomball?? Never heard of it sorry.. I like playing volleyball and tennis but i dont play in a team anymore, just no time. But im a big footy lover. Currently in my period of mourning.. But im stoked that the hawks won!! Im a port adelaide girl.

This will be my second o/s trip, i have been to Japan before.

And i personally hate the cold, only thing i am not looking forward to. Wish i wasnt giving up my whole month of hot january weather. But, look what ill be giving it up for!!!!! So I wont complain.

My original tour on the 6th got canned so I've joined this tour. I'm Mitch, 20 from Brissy. I'm headin over on the 29th of December and stayin at the royal national till the tour starts and a few days after as well. So keen for the trip already, not long to go now.

I'm still in high school (for 2 more weeks! woohoo!) But I hope to go to uni nxt yr and do an arts course majoring in international relations and continuing with languages. Who knows where I'll end up after that... Hopefully not teaching! And hopefully paid well enough so I can continue travelling

Probly said it in a previous post but im 21 from Adelaide,having a few days before and after the tour in london. Travelling with my best mate B (Bel) So will be there for NYE! Anyone got any NYE ideas yet? for those that will be in london then.

In response to what i do for a living ive finished uni and now work full time for Correctional Services as a social worker / parole officer. Otherwise im a bit of a gym junkie and party animal...when im not saving every lasty penny for this trip!

I've got no idea about NYE yet.. I wouldn't have a clue where to start! We arrive in London on the 29th so I think we were just gonna work it out when we got there.

I’m Colin, I just signed up for this tour a few weeks ago. I’m 23 from Washington DC and am traveling alone. I’m graduating this coming December and am counting down the days until I get to take some time to see Europe before entering the working world. I’m arriving on December 30th and leaving January 31st, so I too will have some extra days to see London. Seems that I’m the only one not from Australia so far, really looking forward to meeting everyone and starting the tour! I’m never been to Europe and really want to travel to Australia sometime too by the way. I’ve heard amazing things about the place from friends who have studied abroad in Sydney.

Just a general question for everybody:
which optional extras are you doing with the tour? Is the Moulin Rouge a must? and all the dinners? I don't really want to sign up for everything... What are your plans?

Not sure about the optional extras yet. Prob will start reading up on a few reviews and see what other people have said but i'll be playing by ear i think. Don't wanna be too prepared.

Also if anyone is at the Royal National (or london) before the tour give me a shout and we'll grab a drink or something (I get in the 29th of Dec). New years in London YEW!!

So not long now guys!

24 days and me and rach will be in London, so about 28 days until the tour starts..!!

I've looked through forums of what people do/dont recommend for optionals, but someone might say 'dont do - crap' then another person recommends it. So depends i guess. Im trying to research it a bit but will play it by ear.

Picking up travel docs this thurs.

Yeah we should all catch up for a drink, keep in touch over next couple of weeks and we'll all organise something.

Optionals pretty sure ill do:

- MOULIN ROUGE!!!!!!!!!! (excited about that one!)
- Schnaps museum (free tastings!)
- Gondola ride, venice
- Guided imperial tour in rome sounds like it might be good
- Fondue lunch (sounds interesting)

Im thinking I will skip:

- Tshirts
- Not sure about the prague day cruise, might waste too much time, rather walk the streets
- Some of the dinners

Do we get more info about optionals in our travel docs? ive only seen so far the optionals off of the general 'winter wanderer' itinerary from the website - doesnt give much info.
