LOL, I'm the same way! Work has been slow lately so I have had time to get on the internet and look up things and it makes me get more and more excited.

I hope more people from the tour get on here so we can talk to them and make sure they are nice! After all, we will be stuck with each other for almost a month haha

So this might sound silly but I read in another thread on here about people bringing food/candy from their home country that you can't get anywhere else to give others a taste. Do you Aussie folks have anything good that I can't get here in the states?? Don't know if you have Girl Scouts in your country but every year they sell cookies and they are delicious so I'm bringing some and you guys can try some. They are soooo good, and it will be good to have other snacks since I might not like the food in other countries!

Hey guys, Kate here again. Sorry it's been a while since I wrote but uni has been crazy. I think trying vegemite is a must but from my experience, people who haven't been brought up on it (ie, starting when they're 12 months old) don't usually like it. I can def understand why though, it looks pretty gross. Smiler Do you have wagon wheels in America (it's a chocolate bar sort of thing)? For some reason I don't think you have them over there so we'll def have to bring some of those. Also we do sort of have girl scouts but they're called brownies of girl guides over here. They used to sell cookies but don't seem to anymore. Wow, I rattle on when I get going. Look forward to meeting you all in about 2 and a bit months.

It's the brownies that sell the cookies here too- they are where you start in girl scouts. No wagon wheels over here but we have twinkies. The have absolutely no nutritional value and have a shelf life of about 50 years but they taste ok. The big thing a few years back was to deep fry them at fairs. I heard you can't get reese's in Australia either but they are some of my favorites. If you guys don't like vegimite I don't think I will either lol.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love vegemite. I'll def be bringing a jar with me for my toast each morning. Wagon wheels are great, they're chocolate covered biscuit with jam and marshmellow. So yummy. What are Reese's?

Is there anything else that you guys think are really important to bring, ie, clothes wise and stuff. I'm worried that I'll leave out things becasue I just haven't thought of it.

Bye. Kate

Wagon wheels sound good, except maybe for the jam part. And I think American biscuit and your biscuit are 2 different things. Ours is a bread type thing you put butter or jam on. Reese's are the best and they have different kinds. The original is Reese's peanut butter cups- its basically peanut butter covered in chocolate. They have resee's pieces witch is the same as peanut butter M&M's. Do you have snickers in Australia??

As far as clothes, I'm scared I'm bringing too much! I'm bringing 4 jeans, a pair of comfy pants for the plane and bus rides and a bunch of shirts- long and short sleeve and some ncie ones for going out, along with a nice pair of black pants since it will be too cold for a dress. I'm also bringing 2 scarves and a couple hats and gloves and lots of medications! lol I don't wnat to get sick over there and if I do, I want to be able to feel better fast.

Something else I forgot to mention that I'm bringing, though it's not clothes related, is toilet seat covers, a roll of toilet paper and hand sanitizer. It may sound a bit odd but I hear the bathrooms are not the cleanest. They cost about a dollar and you get 5 toilet seat covers in a pack. I will need to get more for myself and I'll get some extra in case a group of us are out and need some. Also I got a few packets of detergent for washing, both for a washing machine and to do a small load in the sink (like bras/undies/socks).

Im bringing the gel hand sanitizer im not a clean freak but im just concerned about the cleanliness of public toilets....

we have snikers in Aus....and yeh our bicuits are def different by biscuit we mean cookies

im bringin 'hapy pants' with me which are basically these really loose pants that tie around yourself its hard to explain but they are ohh so comfortable...esp for those looonnng bus rides and the plane trip that will kill me hahaha

im also bringing heaps of meds..like panadol, nurofen, nurofen rapid...cold and lfu tablets etc... as well as vitamins to keep the yucky winder colds and the contiki cough away Big Grin

im also one of those people who carries heaps of wet wipes with her....only cause i dont want to be uncomfortable or if anyone spills something and they are sticky they can use them or if we're eating on the bus and people want to wipe their hands :P

I will definitely try the vegimite! It's funny that I will be going to Europe to try Australian food lol. It's really interesting to hear the different vocabulary that you Aussie's use, like happy pants. I love the Australian accent so I don't think I will mind being around everyone on the trip- I think most of the gourps are from Australia and America. Do you think Americans talk funny??

Anyway, I am like you, except I always have tissue, like for your nose. Especially in the winter cold I will have a runny nose so I will have lots on hand. To be honest, I had forgotten about the wet wipes. I think I have some left over from a camping trip that I will bring too.

I know I have said this before but I am sooo excited!!! I can't wait to meet all you guys and get out there and see everything. This Sunday will be 7 weeks till I leave for my first tour and those tourmates seem nice too, at least the ones that come on here. In looking at some threads, it says some people have made facebook pages for their tour. Has anynone done that for ours?

Hey all, I'm also booked into the trip on the 10th and super excited!
I'll be getting into London on the morning of the 9th and probably spend the day checking out the city before the meet.
Right now just trying to get as much extra money together as possible.. I figure you can never have too much for a trip like this Smiler
