Does it cost money to go to the top of the tower, and how high can you go?? I want to go up and take some nice pictures. This may be silly but I also want to take a pic on the ground looking up and have someone to go to the top and take a picture looking down at me. It could be cool to see. But if it costs too much to go up and down then maybe I will skip that!

hmmmmmmmm I think it might actually be included as part of our tour, but if it isn't I dont think it costs very much to go up either.... the website says that its only 10.50 euro to go all the way up and like 6.7 for the second floor only and 4.oo euro for the first floor

Well I'm going to the top. I hope there is an elevator but if not, I'll hit the stairs! it's wierd that the other tour I'm taking has a group photo at the Eiffel Tower but this one doesn't. I think they have one for this tour but it's somewhere else that doesn't have as cool of a backdrop. I'm definitely going to get it though.

I know your excitment- I paid my tours off last week too. I am soooo excited!!! I still can't believe I'm going. I got some books about the different countries we will be in and it's amazing to thtink I will be seeing all this stuff in person.

So a silly question- what kind of walking shoes is everyone bringing?? My brother suggested more of a hiking shoe that's waterproof but those shoes are expensive and not cute enough to wear as everyday casual shoes. So I put some scotchgaurd (water repellant) on my regular shoes and am hoping that's good enough for any rain/snow we may encounter.

OMG!!!! I got some books as well lol....

hmmmmm in regards to shoes, I'm bit of a shoe obsessed weirdo lol... so space and weight permitting this is what im going to bring:

1 pair ugg boots (scothguarded)
2 pairs of street shoes (like joggers but cuter)
2 pairs of flats
1 pair flat boots
1 pair heeled boots
1 pair black kitten heels

Although I don't know if i will have the availble space for all of that unless I decide not to take any clothes lol.

85 Days to go WOOHOO!!!!

LOL, I'm glad I'm not the only one researching!! so my shoes list is much shorter than yours, and my mom stil said I was bringing to many haha. Here is what I was thinking:

1 pair ugg-type boots for the plane and coach ride (scotchgaurded as well)
1 pair walking shoes
1 pair black flats-going out/to dress up jeans
1 pair black heels (not a huge heel so they are still comfy)
flip flops if we hit the hotel pool

Even with that space will be tight but maybe another pair of walking/everyday shoes would be good. I guess I will see when I go to pack. I can't have my bag stuffed when I leave home because then I won't have room to buy stuff (my mom wants some liguor and my bro wants a beerstein from germany, plus stuff for me!)

I know I keep getting told off by my mum for all the shoes I want to take, so worst comes to worst then ill end up going with
1 pair ugg boots (scothguarded)
2 pairs of street shoes (like joggers but cuter)
1 pairs of flats
1 pair flat boots

lol and I'll still get told off, I was discussing it with some of my work collegues today and they were shocked at how many pairs i wanted to take.

but space will be tight, cause I have to buy heaps of stuff as well :S so we'll just see how we go lol...

I think your second list might work better to conserve space. With your street shoes, I would make sure they don't have mesh tops like athletic shoes (Nike's for example) because your feet will get wet if it rains/snows (my brother was giving me advice since he hikes/camps and knows how to stay warm and dry). Since I can check 2 bags on the plane home, I think I will buy another small bag for extra stuff.

And I have even less days since I'm doing a tour before this one!! So how is the exchange rate for you guys in Australia? It's slowly getting better for the US dollar. It's even a tiny bit better today than it was at the beginning of the month when I booked the tour and checked the rates.

Really?? I haven't looked at the price since I already paid so I never would have known. I think that it's not fiar that just because you haven't paid in full you have to pay more. I think your price should be what it is at the time of booking. Oh well, at least I paid in full too before the price went up!
