Hi Lexi, i live in the western suburbs of brisbane and work in the city full time to save up money for this adventure...
Meeting up for drinks would be a great idea - have you thought about where or when?
I am travelling with a good friend of mine anthea - she is currently trekking around america at the moment! The lucky fool! lol and then we are meeting up on the 21st in london and sightseeing before the tour departs on the 25... I know i have said this before... but i am seriously sooo excited!!
And i would love to join the facebook group... but i dont get on there very much... my work has blocked it and i dont have a computer at home... :S haha
im going on this tour also cant friggin wait i am taking lots of warm clothes!!! with like a few t-shirts as well, but jeans and trousers and stuff as well as knit dresses with leggings and lots of long tops! i dno how cold its going to be around that time? my friend from spain said barcelona will still probably be fairly warm... where as switzerland and germany etc will probably be quite chilly!

i just booked this tour! from dallas. can't wait. will also be traveling solo. where are ya guys staying? royal national? that's what i signed up for. i'll be arriving in london 10/24- so if ya guys wanna go out, i'm in! can't wait to see ya guys!

Yeah i have heard that aswell... my friend went to hungary for a year and said that all around where she went they made her wear black pants aswell! :S
I am not sure what i am taking... cause yeah switzerland and germany etc will be freezing... i am also staying in europe for like 6 weeks after the trip and trying to get a job in a pub in ireland... so i know it will be freezing around then, so yeah i am taking thermals and stuff... but i am also going to egypt after that so i need relativley cool clothes too... a mix of it all it sounds! haha
Dont know how i am going to stay under 20kg... :S haha
btw i have a counter on my work computer that tells me how long i have to go... 45 days today untill i leave on the 20/10!!
Hey everyone! I'm stressing about packing too- winter clothes are heavy as. I'm taking about 6 long/three quarter sleeve tops, same again of tshirts/singlet/tank tops for wearing underneath, 2-3 pairs of jeans (one can double as black pants because they dont look like jeans), a jacket/coat, comfy hoody for the bus, a few warmer jumpers/cardis and a nice black dress and a couple of tops for going out. I'm a terrible over packer because I like being clean so thats packing light for me haha. Too excessive? Are those of you arriving the day before worried about jetlag? I booked in at the RN 4days before we leave because I'm pretty bad with the jetlag. Are you guys tightening your budgets when it comes to food because I'm honestly planning to eat my way around Europe...
