I was contemplating starting the tour in Riga, but wasn't convinced that there was much to see befor moscow. so excited about visiting Russia.

Are you doing any other tours? this will be the middle of my three month holiday.

Hi Holly,

I heard Riga is really nice. It's apparently a World Heritage City or something. We're actually arriving a day early to give ourselves an extra day, but no, we're not doing any additional tours. Sadly, we don't get as much holiday time! But I'm really looking forward to Russia. I've always wanted to go there!!

How about you? Are you doing any other tours?

I am starting the tour in Moscow on the 19th of June. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to visit Riga or not so I am going to Scotland first.
For those starting in Moscow which airport are you flying into(SVO or DME)and when are you arriving? I have been reading that DME is the nicest.
It ought to be a neat tour. I have done two Contiki tours so far and this will be my third.

thanks for the replies, i'll have to get everyones feedback on Riga when i meet up with the tour in Moscow........ handly any of my friends have been to russia so going with not many expectaions (which is great)...everything i read about the country makes it sound diffinatly interesting.

I have taken a career break for three months, so have planned a three month adventure around europe.... taking in 3 contiki tours, a top deck tour aroud europe, and a 'on the go' tour to turkey for Anzac Day.

Am flying in to Domodedovo Artp, i 2 have been recomended from travel agents that this is the best pick ou of the two.

what age are you both? i am 26yrs.

I am 29. I too am glad to see there are others that have signed up. In the past I have just signed up for trips that are guaranteed; however, this trip didn't have guaranteed dates!! Thanks for confirming the (DME) airport. That was the one I was leaning toward.
