I'm going to get to europe about 5 days before the tour do a quick stop in London, then pre explore Riga *maybe explore another city in latvia, and going up to estonia...
Yah I"m wicked pumped...its a "definate" Departure now which is nice. I was getting scared for awhile, since so many trips have been cancelled. And we are the only two talking in this forum. But, lot of people won't come in here.
hey there!! i just booked this tour. i'm starting in Riga on the 31st, but not going all the way through. my final destination is stockholm.
i'm also interested in arriving to europe about a week prior to the tour. i'd like to check out tallinn, perhaps lithuania as well. maybe we can coordinate something!
by the way, i am 26 years old from new york. i did a contiki last year that covered berlin, prague, vienna, budapest, and poland.
nope, i'm from long island. a giant suburb of the city. i'm only about 45 mins from manahattan by train, so that's not too bad!
ok, i just booked my flights to and from stockholm. i'm arriving may 19th (because i got a free flight with my delta miles!!!), and now i need to figure out what the heck to do for 10-12 days before i need to be in riga. heh.
I know where long island is...was out there last year actually, only for a day my friend had his wedding/reception there. I Love New York I"ve been there twice in the past couple of years!
10-12 days hey I only have liek 4 or 5 I woulda liked more, just my cheap air transat flight departed may 26th.
I"m going to have to ask you questions about what to see in hte places your other tour covered, I"m hitting all those other places up later in the summer.

Yes - I went on a Contiki trip in summer 2005 (it's definitely been a while). I went on the 23 Day European Vista (London - Amsterdam). It was absolutely amazing!!
I'm 27, live outside Sacramento, and teach US History to Juniors. Can't wait to meet everyone!

tamaraQ, if you're planning on getting to riga early (which i probably am, too), this hostel seems to come very highly recommended. looks like alot of fun.
