Does anybody know what's going on with this tour (and all of the other Russia tours, for that matter)? Seems like there are no departure dates at all listed on the website. Is this tour cancelled?

hey there, best thing is to get a brochure from your travel agent. it is already out in Canada, and all the departure dates are listed. there aren't any Guaranteed Departures dates shown in the brochure, but i was told May 11th departure for Russia and the Baltics is guaranteed.

I called contiki about that actually. They told me their in the process of upgrading their website, and havent completed updating all the information yet. The brochure is a good option... I've also written down a bunch of them that I'm considering, if you want to email me.... as of now, I'm thinking of starting in Moscow Aug 20th (Riga departs Aug 17th). Since no dates are guaranteed yet, I'm trying to convince people to sign up with me, so perhaps it will become guaranteed!

I am doing the Russia + Baltics starting August 11 from Riga and have added the Scandinavia tour at the end to make it a 22 day tour. Anyone else going?

I'm also booked on the tour commencing from Riga on the 11th August 2008 - all 22 days! Should be heaps of fun!!! CJ

I noticed there were dates listed once... but the tour that I already booked wasn't listed... I assumed it meant the tour was sold-out.

I can still see all the tour dates listed on the website. They match what is in the printed brochure. What date have you booked? Where are you starting the tour from?

acdngirleh, above it sounds like you've booked the tour in two separate parts... is what you've done different than Russia & Scandinavia (Start Riga)?

Not two seperate trips - people can choose to do the first leg (Russia and Baltics), the second leg (Scandinavia), or both. Some people might not realise that for the 22 day trip, Contiki just combines the two - the trips overlap in Stockholm on the same day. I will liekly be travelling for the most part with a different group of people for each leg so I was just looking for anyone that was doing either leg.
