Hi,
I just confirmed my trip London to Athens June 8-28 and wanted to know if anyone else is coming along...I'm also planning on going to Greece later for 5-6 days, so if anybody has any tips or suggestions, pls help !

YES!! so nice to hear that others are as excited as I am about the London to Athens trip leaving London June 8, I too just put it all on the charge card!
I am staying in Greece for 9 days after the tour doing island hopping...did someone say they coudl book a ferry from outside of Greece?? I was thinking of doing a busabout tour 379 dollars for 9 days all 4 islands..any thoughts???
Also it is -12 here in Edmonton Alberta Canada and there is an insane blizzard so I am beyond ready to go

REALLY excited about the trip and from the replies I can tell you guys how to book the ferries in Greece, go to: http://www.greekferries.gr/ to check which companies go to the islands you want and then buy the e-ticket directly at the ferry company (this is because we arrive in Athens on a Sat and agencies are closed, so you cannot pick up yr tixs).
Some suggestions of Islands to visit (I've already been to Greece a while ago) are: CRETE, SANTORINI (a must go), MYKONOS, RHODES...9 days might not be enough ...

ALSO, about LONDON ON JUNE 7, I'm also solo arriving at 6AM @ Heathrow, dropping off my bags at Royal National and then doing a short city tour... any one up to tag along ?

Can anyone tell me if a sleeping bag is REALLY necessary on this trip. It says to bring one...

My name is Marian and FINALLY more people from our tour are showing up... I've been reading stuff and my advice is pls TAKE a sleeping bag.

From what I understood we just have mattresses at the camp sites (no sheets, blankets, towels)... so unless u wanna sleep on a dirty mattress, pls take the sleeping bag.

You'll also need it on te overnight ferry to Corfu.

I just bought my 1st sleeping bag and it was about 20 bucks, and weighs less than 1kg
