I'm looking into taking the London to Athens tour plus Greek Island Hopping or Mykonos for May (possibly Jun) 07...

Anyone else out there considering something similar?

Also, I will be travelling alone... will it be difficult to make friends? It seems like alot of people actually do these on their own (whew!!)

Doing the same, but in March07 (as long as the dates are confirmed). First time o/seas ever and I'm doing it by myself... so I'm a little scared, but after reading the message boards it seems, everyone does this... still a little scared tho...

I definitely know wat you mean... it's kinda scary doing something like this on your own - but very exciting too

I am Brisbane girl looking at doing London to Athens in April 07. Would love to add Mykonos on to that (if I can find the cash). Or maybe London to Rome and skipping straight to the Greek Islands.
I am doing it on my own as well, and have been quite nervous about it until I have seen all these messages today. I can be more excited now and forget about being a loner.

Hi. I'm doing London to Rome, April 4-19. Booked it last weekend! Then flying to Athens from there for a few days before going to Gallipoli (Seemed like the best way to see everything we want and get to Gallipoli by ANZAC Day). Going to the Greek Islands after that. I can't wait!

I am just looking at the description of the London to Athens with either Greek Islands or Mykonos and love the sound of it. The pace seems a little more relaxed than some of the others? I was thinking about June 07 (if I can get organised and save like crazy) and will be travelling by myself as well- I never knew so many people actually did that, but it sounds like a great way to meet people anyway.

My sister and I are booked for the London to Athens plus Greek island hopping leaving June 6 2007. I would love to meet anyone doing that trip. We've never been to europe before so we're both super excited. Hopefully we'll meet some awesome people to hang out with on the tour.

My girlfriend and I are coming on the June 6th trip. I actually did a similar trip a few years ago and it was a great experience. In relation to travelling solo, you have nothing to fear. The last trip I did a number of the people were travelling alone but it didn't matter as everyone got into the vibe and made friends very quickly. You'll love it.
