my friend and i are planning to do the london to rome tour on july 3rd...but thinkin of staying in london a few days in advance to just do some exploring! any ideas abt cheap accommodation thats pretty close to the meeting place?!?

I'm going with Jessi on LTR 3rd of July. We're getting to London the day before and are just staying at the Royal National for the night - think it's quite expensive but easy for one night cause the meetings downstairs. But if I were staying longer I'd probably look for somewhere else.
Where are you guys from? Is this your first trip to Europe?

oh hectic! from Cape Town, South Africa,...first trip on our own! I've been 2 Italy but havn't seen the rest of Europe at all! So pretty excited! We trying to go as 'budget' as possible so will probably try find a backpackers or something close by, but thanks!

no, its nowhere near any of the places that we goin to...its a little town up north called livigno! absolutely amazing!

Awesome! I've just done a bit of Provence in France and some of North-west Italy down to Rome. Can't wait to go back!
What are your plans for after the tour? We're going to stay in Rome an extra night then head across to Dubrovnik in Croatia for a couple of nights before flying back to London. I've heard Croatia's amazing!

unfortunately we have to limit ourselves money wise! so hav no choice but to head back to South Africa! but have also heard Croatia is gorgeous!

hey guys im a solo traveller to from perth doing london to athens 3rd july which is the same tour but sounds like there wont be many people joining us onto greece. I get into london on the 30th this is my second contiki trip also, be prepared to party.
