No def not alone We're from Canberra. So i just checked & our date is a def departure YAY! Hoping you managed to get your deposit down in time..? Its hard handing over ALL your hard earned $$ to the travel agent isnt it?! But its totaly gonna be worth it. We're getting pretty excited, not long to go now!! Is this your first contiki?

Areli I wouldn't worry because my trip says it starts on August 6th too. It just counts the 2 traveling days before the actual tour starts for some reason. My friend and I are coming from Canada. Sooo excited!

Hi I am Kelley from Toronto. I am 26 and also travelling solo on this trip. I am really excited and have never been on a contiki trip before. Is anyone bringing a sleeping bag

Im 26 & glad Kelley is too cause i was worried that Dan & i were going to be the oldies on tour (actually i'll be 27 when we're in Barcelona). And yes we're taking sleeping bags - we got these really lightweight ones but apparently you can buy regular sleeping bags at the contiki basement. So we fly out in under 48hrs and it hasnt really sunk in yet...looking forward to meeting you all very soon!!

Wouldnt worry too much about the ages, most of my mates are 25-30

I only just found out i need to bring a sleeping bag.. duno if i want to take one or buy one there.. ill make a last min decision on that ha

Yeah for other 26 year olds! It's gonna be a blast. Bec and Dan, I have been to Canberra (went to the Institute of Sport for the day) very nice city. We will have to have a Big Barcelona Birthday Bash for you Bec. (like all the b's eh) I was also reading the pros and cons to a backpack vs. a suitcase, and I was planning on bringing a backpack b/c of my sleeping bag.

I went a brought a sleeping bag today.. it wasnt the cheapest BUT its sooo small. its like a foot long and 11cm across is diameter. Small / thin enough to fit into a suitcase without taking up much room.

I got if from a place called Main Peak, sort of an outdoor adventure store (tents, hiking stuff etc). I paid the little extra for the smallest bag coz ive got a heap of travel to do and wanted a suitcase.

Bec, are you guys going suitcase or backpack ?
