Anyone else going on the London to Athens trip leaving April 28th?

doesnt this tour start April 30th? I am on the tour booked for April 30th, im not sure if they would have the same tour leave only 2 days apart, so it may infact, be the same one??

I saw that there is the trip that leaves April 28th and then another
trip that leaves May 1st, so I guess you're probably on the second one.
It is odd that the departure dates are so close together though. Have a
good trip!!

Okay ive just got off the phone to Contiki to find out about these dates.

Now the tour date listed as April 28th is correct, but the 28th and 29th are listed as days to arrive in Europe and the pre-tour meeting is on the 29th, but the tour actually starts April 30th, so we are infact on the same tour, so we will be seeing you there!! I didnt know it actually made allowance for 1-2 days to arrive in London and the pre-tour meeting.

Hey! another one!!! groovy! - So Jillian are you travelling with friends also, or are you travelling solo?  Ive never been on a tour before, this is a first for me, so although i dont know what to expect, im really looking forward to it! The generally consensus on these forums is that they are a blast, regardless if your a party animal, or just there to see the sites, which is great! Hopefully theres a good mix in our group, so ppl fit in and feel comfortable.

Hey, I am travelling solo, and this is my first tour, first trip totally solo as well, I'm normally with friends/family or something.  Nervous and excited about the whole thing.  I agree I hope their is a good mix of people that way everyone feels comfortable, I think in the end everyone will have more fun that way!!  I can't wait, starting to decide what I am going to take, and its making me even more excited, its going to be tough to concentrate on exams!!!

Yep totally agree, feeling a combo of both nervous and excited, i think its all part and parcel with travelling tho! i guess its more exciting when u get there, but otherwise its more nerve wracking waiting and getting all your things together etc - its SO hard to pack i must say, esp with limited luggage size and weight - we are travelling before and after too, so we basically get all 4 seasons, and its REALLY hard to pack for all that! Dont worry about travelling solo, cos for one, i think there will be plenty of ppl travelling solo, and 2 - atleast uve made contact with ppl on this forum, and we'll be sure to include u so u dont feel solo, as there are three of us, and i beleive CaseyRae has a friend she is travelling with, so theres already 5 ppl you have made contact with before hand, which is great!

Good luck with your exams, just think, in the end you will be away and having a great time, so knuckle down now, and then the rewards will be even sweeter!

Im so excited!!!  Where abouts in NZ is everyone from?  Im
from Auckland, really nervous about the plane ride... haven't been on
one before and watched one too many episodes of lost and their plane

Hey don't worry I've been on more plane then i can count (my grandparents live on the other side of the country), and theirs never any problems, however I would tell you too bring gum to chew on takeoffs and landings so your ears don't hurt, and a bottle of water as their really really dry...and other then that just enjoy the ride, if you can get over the tiny seats and lack of leg room it can actually be fun, after all you just sit their and watch movies whats not to like.
