hey, I have a question. Is everyone bring a suitcase on wheels or a backpack? I've been getting mixed responses from everyone, so I just wanted to hear what you guys were doing! Also, what day is everyone arriving in london?

I am one of Taryn's travel mates Hi Taryn!This is the only posting I could find in the whole meeting section about London to Romeo August 3rd!! Is anyone else out there going?
Giselle: to answer your question I myself will probably bring a suitcase with wheels. I'm not sure if anyone has heard of these, but on the weekend a friend of mine who travels a lot told me about something you can buy for about fifteen dollars at a Canadian Tire type store called a compression bag...you put your clothes and/or whatever you are packing in this bag and it compresses it to half of it's size! It will not decrese the weight of your luggage but, doubles the space!! Just thought I'd mention that I cant believe it's down to 9 days!!

Heather: are you from Toronto as well?
I'm getting such mixed answers from everyone, I emailed contiki and asked them about the bag situation. And they suggested bringing a backpack, because we will have to do some carrying, plus we are camping a lot of the time. So thats what I think I'm going to go for.
What does everyone think??

Hey Giselle!! I will be bringing a suitcase with wheels, cuz i don't think i could pack evreything needed for 20days into a backpack, lol, maybe that's just me but, lol... i also don't own one of those nice travelling backpacks...oooo the count down begins!! not far off now...see ya soon

Hey girls, Giselle to answer your question I am from Toronto as well, Taryn and I and two friends are going to London a few days in advance and then will meet up with tour on August 4th I think the meet-up is 7pm. From what I understand and I was reading through the trip itinierary today, you can bring a backpack but it cant have a metal frame and the suitcase can be max 29x20x10" Im pretty sure those are the measurements, there should be a separate slip with your Contiki trip itinerary. I hope that helps a bit! Im going to bring as suitcase with wheels and a carry-on and try and max out my luggage space with a compression bag.

I think I may have figured out why no one seems to be going on our trip...people may have their dates confused especially if they posted a long time ago when the trip wasnt really a reality yet A few people have posted dates that are in between two tours...well, they MIGHT be on our tour. We'll find out soon enough!!! 4 DAYS!!!!!
