I am 23, from Canada, going solo (I was supposed to go with a friend...but she cannot go anymore)...a little bit nervous...but I am sure that I will meet people. Anyone going London to Athens trip June 23rd???

I'm going on LTA June 23rd/24th to July 14th as a solo traveller also! I'm from Queensland Australia and am 19. I'm pretty sure i'm on the same tour, i guess the departure is June 24th on an Australian calendar, and June 23rd elsewhere?

Are either you girls getting to London before the tour or staying in Athens afterwards? I am, so i would love to know others who are too.

I haven't actually booked my flight to London yet but I am definitely staying in Athens afterwards. I was thinking about doing some extra travelling in Europe after the tour, but I'm not sure if I want to do it on my own, or if I can find anyone to go with me. If not I'm making way over to Agrigento, Italy over the course of a week to do some volunteer work. Hopefully I'll at least be able to go visit Santorini.

Which hotel are you guys staying at the first night in London? Maybe we can meet up early.

Finally i've been able to log in, and its a bit late... I can't believe the trips just over a month away.
I'm getting to London on the 21st, hopefully going to Stonehenge and Bath on the 22nd and then Checkout London on the 23rd. I'm staying in the Royal National Hotel, what hotel are you guys in?

I'm also staying on in Athens for two days in the City Plaza Hotel. I really hope someone else is doing something similar and we can meet up before the trip.

Hi Lisa. That sounds awesome. I've taken a tour of England and Scotland a couple of years ago but I managed to miss Stongehenge and Bath. I haven't actually booked my hotel yet, probably will this weekend.
I would love to go visit Santorini after the tour, but I'm having trouble booking an open-dated return flight so we'll see how things go.

Whats in Santorini? I'd love to do something after the tour, but i've got to start Univeristy when i get back home. So an extra two days in Athens is all i can do, i plan on getting a tan in greece and shopping like mad on those two days anyway which is good enough for me

Great to finally speak to some people on the trip!

If you want some good places to visit in London id recomend the London eye, the national gallery, london dungeons, a cruise on the river thames, Soho is great for nightlife my favourute clubs are there! then obviosly youve got Bukingham palace too. London is great for shopping. Oxford street and Camden market is a must! If you are on your own I'd be happy to meet up and show you around? Im sure we can all become friends over a bottle of wine!

Once the trip ends a friend of mine is meeting me in Athens where we are staying for 2 days befor going off over the Greek isands for another month.We are visiting Santorini Krira so would be cool if you could join us! lisa you wont be on your own in Athens after either!

Ive never really heard of a day trip to bath but you can get a train pretty easily to Bath. We also have beaches that you can get a train to from London which are pretty cool, although nowhere near as nice as the ones you have I'm sure!

Hi everyone! I'm glad to hear that this trip isn't going to be a ghost town.

I've now booked my flight and I get into London at 7:30am on the 23rd. So I won't be able to make a day-trip to Bath, but maybe if you decide to see Stongehenge on the morning of the 23rd then I could meet you! If not, I'm sure I'll manage to find something closer by in London.

I would love to go to Santorini with you Faye. When are you planning on being there? My flight leaves from London on the 19th so I would need to be back before that.

Lisa just Google Santorini and the views are spectacular. Beautiful island from a caldera. What University are you going to?

Well it looks as though you and lisa are going to both be in London on the 23rd, shall we all meet up then? I think it would be good to get rid of some of my nerves!

Me and my friend are pretty flexible. We havnt really planned a time table or anything. Im am doing the greek island tour aswell with Contiki. I dont know if either of you are doing it? I dont have the itinery on me but one of the islands we visit is Santorini. You could coincide your island visit with the Contiki trip which means you wouldnt be on your own!

I'm so excited now! And the fact that i know someone will be staying on in Athens a little longer with me helps! I'm worried about the shopping factor...i'll probably blow all my money before we even reach Barcelona! ha haa...

I'm going to be attending the University of the Sunshine Coast, its in South East Queensland Australia...in our breaks we usually hit the shops or the beach, its great being a coast kid, though i haven't the faintest tan in the world to prove it!

I'm starting to get jealous of you both going to Santorini! I'll greek island hop sometime in the future though.

Ive been Canada skiing twice in Whistler which was amazing. Spent some time in Vancoover i think thats how you spell it?!) while I was there which was great.

Its good to know theres other single travelers going. I was getting pretty nervous but feel loads better now.

My flight getsin early on the 23rd, so I won't actually be staying in the hotel the night before, just getting my paid night at the Royal Naional according to the second day of the tour. But if I can meet you guys there or somewhere else I'd loe to see Stongehenge or more of London. Especially with our own tour guide!

I don't think our schedules for Santorini will quite coincide, but I guess we can always figure that out as it gets closer.

I'd love to visit Australia some time, its on my long list of places to see, I just have to figure out the when and the how!
