I'm also doing the 3 May contiki southern adventure tour, and am spending 4 days in LA before hand so that I can go to Disneyland and Universal studios. I have got some kind of Hopper pass with my transfer from the airport out to Anaheim. I'm staying at the Best Western Motel that the tour leaves from on the 3 May. I arrive in LA on the 29 April at 9.30 in the morning.Hope to do Disneyland on the 2nd day, Univeral Studios on the 3rd Day and then shop on the 4th day, the day before the tour leaves. I'm from Dubbo by the way.Will there be others staying at the motel that are like us, waiting for their tour to start do you think? Would be better to go to Disneyland and Universal with other people, that's all.Anyway, glad to know that there are others going from Aussie land

Hey Blu, I will be landing on the 29th as well at 6:30am (Bloody Hell). I have a 2day park hopper for Disneyland and California adventure park (disney thing), and am doing a LA combo which includes universal and a tour of hollywood, beverly hills etc.I was also thinking about doing Disney on the second day and universal on the third with the fourth to do what ever aswell. I am at work at the moment so I don't have me papaerwork on me so I am not sure which hotel I am staying at in LA. After the tour finishes I am flying from new orleans to miami for a week, then I am off to San Fransisco for three days and will do alcatraz etc, then come back to Aus. I come from Muswellbrook NSW a few hours from you!!! Will you be doing any extras on the tour, I am not sure which ones I will be doing yet. I will also be arriving at 6.30 in the morning on the 29th.I'm guessing that we may be on the same plane possibly.I thought it would be cheaper to stay at the Best Western in Anaheim, especially as it is around the corner from Disneyland and that's where the tour leaves from.I'm flying back to LA from New Orleans and then catching a connecting flight back to Sydney. I then have to fill in 5 hours before my flight back to Dubbo.Hope to do quite a few extras on the tour, the helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon, hot air balloon flight, water rapids ride, jeep ride (if possible) and mainly the rodeo on Dallas (want to see an american style rodeo). I also wouldn't mind seeing the high rollers in Las Vegas. Have been told it is amazing just to have a look. Hi Guys. Flights and Contiki now paid for! Arriving on 2 May (at night) and then once the tour finishes ... A week in Hawaii! Can't wait!!

My friend and I just booked on to this tour also.
We are also Australians (me Sydney, her Gold Coast)
We too are flying into LA a few days earlier to do disneyland etc.
After New Orleans we are going to fly to New York and check out that part of the country for a couple of weeks. We are doing the contiki tour first so that when we have to go off on our own we might feel not as scared and a bit braver about navigating ourselves on the american roads.

Hello to you. There seems to be a few from Aussie land on this tour, including the people that are going on the Grand Southern. I think they start off with us at the same time, and we leave at New Orleans.I can't wait....

I'm likely going on May 3rd as well, though I still have to find out when my classes end.

I guess I'm the only Canadian around here hehe. Travelling alone too so that should be interesting in a scary sort of way.

Don't worry about being the only one going alone. I think we are all going it alone. However, if you go to the Grand Southern Meeting place and look at the 3 may item, check it and you should find a facebook address to see who else is doing the tour. Not long now......
