Hey! I've just booked this - nice to meet a fellow traveller I'll be travelling for 3months and decided to do the tour to get most out of my time in NZ.
Awesome! I'm going to be flying into Christchurch the night before the tour leaves and staying in Auckland for a couple of nights after...but then I'm flying home
I'm flying solo btw....do you have facebook or msn?

I'm doing the same, flying into Christchurch the night before (from Melbourne). I've got another week in Auckland after the tour, am hoping to catch up with a friend who lives on the north island before heading off to Fiji.
I'm on my own too, so don't worry! I've heard most people go on these tours alone, is the best way to meet people
Sounds to me like we're on the same flight from Melbourne! I'll be there for 2 weeks over Christmas and NY, staying with a friend of mine. (You'll probably spot me at the airport - I'll be the short girl with curly hair who's backpack is the same size as her!!)
ill definitely keep that in mind then and ill be sure to say hi...
lol so ill be the goofy looking bloke asking "hey are you Zan from the contiki forums?" to the all of the short girls with curly hair and the backpack bigger than them.
so exciting to know that i wont be the only one on the flight...you staying at the same hotel where the tour leaves from?
lol! Yeap I'm staying there - figured it was easiest as the tour leaves early in the morning and the flight the night before doesn't get in until 11pm...although I suspect that I won't be sleeping much anyway with that little time!
Am really looking forward to it - NZ is the place I wanted to visit the most I was doing a contiki tour in Australia too but it's been cancelled, so I'm going to wing it from Cairns to Sydney
that's alright then....suppose the taxi fare won't be that bad then

unfortunate about the aussie tour cancellation...but winging it from Cairns to Sydney will be a breeze I'm fairly sure ours won't get cancelled as the date is now full! so it should be a blast!
Hey Guys, I am doing this tour as well. From Vancouver, Canada and this will be my second contiki tour. Did the European Encounter in 2007. Its going to be an amazing time.

I was doing a contiki tour in Australia too but it's been cancelled, so I'm going to wing it from Cairns to Sydney
