hello, my name is paige, i am 21 years old. i am wanting to do the grand explorer on the 22nd of june this year. is anyone else going? or thinking of going? i have never traveled alone so id like to know who else is going to ease my nerves:P

How long are you staying in NZ for? oh and before the tour starts on the 22nd are you staying and the contiki hotel? i think im just going to book in a base backpackers cause i think there pretty close.

hi claire. it is exciting! counting down the days! We're from geelong (aus), and we are staying in NZ for a total of 19 days, and only doing 14 days of the tour. We are going skiing for the extra 5 days. We are staying at a B&B in auckland, just down the road from the contiki meeting place. Everything is pretty close in Auckland anyway, so i've been told.

Oh thats so cool we are very close! Yeh i think im staying for 18 or maybe 19 days all togeather, What day are you arriving? I booked my flight last night to auckland on the 20th of july so im very excited !

our flight leaves on the 21st and we get into auckland at midnight. what are you going to do after the tour ends?

Ah alright well i guess ill see you when the tour starts haha. Um im just going to stay in Christchurch for 2 days then go home sadly. How long are you guys staying for? Im going to spend one night at the Contiki hotel and the other at the base backpackers. How about you.

we're staying for an extra 4 nights in queenstown so we can do some skiing. so we wont be going on to christchurch. we're just going to stay at a b&b in queenstown after we finish the tour. cant wait...not long now!!

Hey My name is Bec, I'm 21 and i am doing the Grand Encounter tour. Its the same as teh grand explorer but stops in Queenstown (rather than going to Christchurch).

I am really excited about going. I live in Aus and have never been overseas (or seen snow)! So i want to get some snow action going in Queenstown.

I don't know anyone else on the tour yet and a little bit nervous about going alone too.

I'll add that i am flying in on 21 june and flying out from Queenstown on 6 july. I havent booked accomodation for the two extra nights yet. Any ideas?

Hi Bec! i know im pretty excited about the snow should be good. Im flying out on the 20th so 12 days! and staying at base back packers for 2 nights,they seem to be good. Where about in Australia are you from?
