Hey all, wow what a response!!
There are 4 girls in my group: Christabelle, Sarah, Leanne and myself. We arrive the afternoon of the 26th, but are still to book a place for the night of the 26th. There was one recommended in the back of the NZ Contiki book, so we may do that one. I suspect it may leave from there, as it is a suggested place, however I cannot be 100% until we get our itinerary. We'll also be staying on in Auckland for a couple of nights at the end, as it seems we won't have a whole lot of time there on the tour.
Anyone else thinking of coming along on the tour?
Promise I'll be more active in my postings now I've been reminded of it (thanks Cherrybell!)

When I rang Contiki after we booked the tour, they told us that the tour is departing from the bearley hotel so instead of finding accomodation somewhere else I decided to stay there on the 26th.
How old is everyone in your group?

Sweet! Looks like we'll be staying at Bealey's the night before too then. Hopefully we can have a drink or something after tea, it'd be great to meet tourmates before it starts.
To answer Lozza: Leanne is 26 (she will kill me for saying that), Christabelle and I will be 24 by then, and Sarah is our baby at 20.

Yeah i'm 21. That's great that your staying at the bealey the night before. If you see anyone sitting on their own that night feel free to come up and say hi. I won't bite i promise.

I'll be 27 by then, and don't worry you won't be sitting on your own for long, most people i've found on contiki tours are pretty cool and like minded.

hi all i think (i am not sure) but i think i may be linking up with this tour in christchurch for the northern highlights reverse start christchurch on the 3rd jan 2010 havent travelled overseas before an am nervous about starting a tour in the middle any advice (i will be travelling wit a friend)
