I booked this trip a few months ago.. never knew about this though.. glad to know I wont be the only one going backwards! How long now two weeks or something? Where are you all staying the night before the tour starts? Im at the Beasleys hostel no idea where that is but I guess Ill find out! Anyone else staying there by any chance??

So steve your canadian! im going to Canada at the end of the tour cant wait. Im flying in to nz on the 16th aswell but wont be there till 3 in the arvo.

Looks like I am staying at the same hotel on the 16th. Bealeys seems to be their favorite hotel in Christchurch.

I think they get everyone together that night for dinner and drinks, so I will see you then for sure. I will probably be hanging around somewhere during the day if I am still standing after my 28 hour trip to get there.

I will be arriving on the 16th early also. Leaving from Sydney. I agree Steve, it would be great to some exploring before the tour starts!!

I think there is a get together on the 16th put on by Contiki, and according to other people it is usually around 6:00pm in the bar at the hotel. There should be a sign posted in the lobby.

As far as doing any exploring during the day, that depends on what time everyone gets in. If you 2 don't get in until 3ish, then maybe we can meet in the lobby around 4pm and see what we can come up with?
